If an automatic car jerks while shifting gears then what might be the problem?

I got the fluid checked from a pathan in g10, he said the consistency was okay and the fluid was pink so no need to change the fluid. I myself do not when the fluid was changed as I bought the car secondhand a month back. Will flushing the gear oil fix the problem?

This is how things are looking now. The problem was welch plug leakage which i replaced (details of problem before and after repairs with pics are there in previous posts).

This is how the tension on the belt is looking now.
Note: the bolt on the tensioner is just hand tightened. If i tight it with rachet it doesnt move as freely as it is in the video.

i guess its repairable. But cost will be high because Mechanic will undo & re-fix it, Kharadiya will do his job, boot & Grease, etc.
Or maybe grease is missing in some part.

Yes. I got it repaired from local mechanic. He removed whole shaft.. remove cross..opened it.. few of roller of cross bearings were damaged.. he replaced roller bearings from some other. fixed it and now sound reduced to almost nill. In fact sound produced only when there is bumpy road..on carpeted road..it's already soundless.
Cost of new was 60k after import from jp. ..not available here wd IMC

its not the U joint making the noise - its the intermediate shaft splines experiencing stiction - toyota actually sell a grease in a syringe just for this noise for some vehicles where there is a provision of a hole in the splines, in others you have to remove or elongate the ISS to grease it.

You can try adjusting the steering up and down and in and out to work the intermediate shaft - it may disperse some of the original grease and stop the noise

My car radiator tank is leaking. Its a plastic tank and leaking along the clamps. Mechanic sealed with epoxy its still leaking.

I think this issue is caused by mishandling of mechanic. He says he removed the radiator during head repair job. I have seen mechanics putting their feat on radiator while working on engine.

Radiator wala says new tank is needed. But i have read here it may not seal properly.

What u guys recommend?

Since i dnt have the torque wrench. Will Hand tightening the bolt and then giving it a quarter turn with rachet work?

Aoa.. I m facing an issue since 3 days... Sometimes my car starts jerking and difficult to pick speed and rpm.. Looking like missing.. It happens sometimes and when i turned off ac it turns out to be ok.. After 1 or 2 km when start ac, the car feels nothing like missing or jerking... I have 98 civic auto.. Car feels underpowered sometimes on ac...

I have a mazda 323 model 2000.it dies in traffic after a 15 min drive when weather is too hot. Runs fine in winter. When i remove fuel line from injector and crank then put back the fuel line it runs another 15 min.
I am in kuwait with temp ranging +55 these days.

no I observed him replacing the module twice he just got qabli module and changed it. I dont think he even know about heatsink paste. Can you please explain a bit. Regards

what car was this, what fluid did you buy?

Honda city 2010 automatic. I haven't purchased Amy fluid yet. Will get it from Honda Centre if I do but a person checked it and said it was fine by checking the viscosity and color. I just got the car 2 weeks back so I don't know when it was last changed.

The car jerks a lot when shifting gears. What could be the possible causes?

and 1 more question pleaze, if engine gets hot due to low coolant, shell I fill the water with engine running or off??

Either one can turn off system and wait for it to cool down before filling up.

Or put commonly available room temperatur water in a running/off engine.

Sitting here going though the thread from the the first page at 1 30 am, I was at the 10th page when I noticed that xulifiqar bhai said that you should lubricate your iac motor after cleaning. Last Sunday I suddenly had the jazba for cleaning the throttle body and I disassembled everything and got the cleaning done. The car wasn't doing anything wrong, I just did it for fun but after cleaning the iac motor with carb cleaner I put everything back in place without any lubrication... I feel dumb now.. Now I don't have the himat to disassemble everything again so can I spray some wd40 using the long nozzle into the iac valve hole in the throttle body? This will lead to the iac motor being lubricated hopefully. Can I do this?

And another thing, while putting back the iac system to the throttle body I put the gasket along with silicone and screwed it back and the throttle body was screwed back to the intake manifold using the old gasket stuck to the intake manifold, I applied some silicone over there too and tightened the nuts and everything. Pit silicone the the intake pipe too[emoji14]did I do everything right ir does it need some other method of sealing?

I plan on changing transmission oil by removing the pan and everything this weekend. Have exams in an month but this work is just too fun

Salam. I am having problem with my civic reborn serpentine belt. It is making noise when I start the car. I have inspected the belt I think the problem is with the upper pulley and it is gotten closed. Can you tell me how to sort out. The belt is getting bent from the left side as you can see in the pictures.

I think your alternator is loose.

GM modules require heatsink paste on them if you want them to last more than a day, its the same paste you use when sticking heatsinks to the CPU and GPU in your computer. Your car's original ignition module came with it too.

Topping up coolant on running engine makes sure air doesnt lock in coolant
