6 heat range NGK spark plugs can cause your engine to knock in hot weather as the plug itself runs hotter, so dont change them out. Usually iridium plugs are good for 200,000 kms. Leave them alone.

If your CVT is jerking or shaking the car then get a scan done - you might need to get the zero point calibration done on your car if it has been "reset by removing battery hundreds of times" - If your car has blown air bags the calibration process cannot be done as the airbag control unit is now dead and frozen. The calibration is done with the G sensor inside that controller - it measures acceleration and deceleration.

toyota will always tell you to change gearbox because toyota do not sell any part of the CVT gearbox as a repair part. The whole assembly is changed out as a module at the customers expense.

My car is giving me extremely low milage of 10 to 14kms even on high octane with check engine light remains on all the time and engine shakes at low speeds.
had to 4 beam head light in last month.

test it on some other bottle or any other car even. Im highly doubting the accuracy of this device if it came from ali express.

I tested it on ZIC fluid. It showed same results but that bottle seal was open for months.

On my car, its 3% i.e one less LED. Same on another car. I flushed both of them this year.

Bhai i feel like the radiator fan on my vehicle is kicking in a bit late. I mean it clicks when ever the heat needle is just a little above (not over though) on the second dot (out of the two dot marks for optimum temperature) where as if i remember it use to and should click in while needle is in middle of those two dots.

What can be the reason? Worn out sensor or Bad coolant sensor wiring?

And please guide what spark plugs should i be using in my ride.

Hi, Sir one of efi workshop guy reduce my suzuki Liana total fuel trim from 14-16 to 10 -12 by help of sccaner he said in this way your petrol average become good, after doing this when I drived car, its pick feels reduced only for that day. Afterwards it feels normal.
I wana ask is this a right way to reduce petrol consumption or not ?
I know about Ltft & stft but " total fuel trim" is new thing & that I see on that sccaner x431.

did you get it tested?

hot misfire problems can be worn plug wires or distributor cap or even an overheating ignitor in the distributor.

It will be far better if you have the car fuel pressure tested and other failure points tested when its misfiring

I get it tested today and mechanic said I should replace distributor cap and coil... Should I go for it or any other things to follow?

just wanted to give you an update and a special thanks for your guidance
i got our crv's atf drained today it came out blackish didnt smell though
i poured in 4 liters of atf z1 in and a 60 ml pack of shudder fix and it resolved the issue 90%
i had a few questions
a.the atf that was drained was around abit more then 4L so running abit less wouldnt hurt right ? (btw z1 is pretty rare here so i got it at 1200/L :P)
b. can i use dw1 in the future because its easily available and cheaper ?

im looking to drain and refill its coolant too but there is no quantity mentioned in the service manual they just showed the method
lastly can i use 7th gen civic ball joint and tie rod ends (running gear) in my crv i asked afzaal bhai he said they would fit

yes you can top up with DW1, it makes the clutches a bit more slippery, you can even top up with some dexron III - as you are still only at half quantity of the ATF charge in the gearbox.

to measure the coolant quantity - drain into a tub and use some containers to measure how much it is - easy. and yes you can use the 7th gen suspension parts on your crv.

check from dipstick - adjust level as required.

best reading is done when the vehicle has been driven for about 20 minutes - and the system is at operating temperature. Leave in Park with engine idling and check from dipstick about 5 times to make sure the level is correct.

Make sure the car is parked on level ground.

Balenos gear is a little hard, gets stuck in the first gear sometimes but apart from that it just needs a little effort to shift gears. Im pretty sure this is a gear oil problem

Honda ATF is expensive but dealers usually charge higher for parts and fluids
get honda's ATF dw-1 costs around 900-950 for a liter and is very easily available look up the quantity in your cars owners manual and buy accordingly

total fuel trim is the sum of both trims

e.g. if ltft is -10% and stft is +12% then total trim is +2%

what he did is not adjust the trim - he just zeroed it out - the ECU will relearn and adjust again.
