And the plugs? What plugs should i use in my car?

buffered means - it doesnt move even the engine temperature changes from 80 to 95C, the spark plugs in your engine were NGK BKR6E or equivalent denso.

the only few manufacturers providing a live temperature gauge for the engine coolant are all german ones and GM and Ford in USA. Its quite common for customers to come in complaining of "mera engine garam horaha hai" when they see it going beyond half sweep on the gauge.. when its completely normal and under control.

In japanese builds - the gauge is a three position system, cold, normal, headgasket blown..

customers dont complain on that - and thats why honda and some other manufacturers actually removed the temperature gauge altogether - na rahe baans na bajay baansuri.

e.g. in mercedes benz the 50% point is 80C, the 70% point is 100C...

100C is not considered overheating but you would see a line of customers coming in complaining - 'LOOK - the engine is overheating'

Someone please be kind enough to o recommend me gear oil for the following cars

Suzuki baleno 05
Honda city 10 AT

Please don't advise me to go to Honda Centre as I believe they're just there for grabbing people's money. They gave me a price of 6000 just for the gear oil which I believe is extremely high and apart from that I think I can get better quality oils from the market. Please some experienced person give me some advice

Balenos gear is a little hard, gets stuck in the first gear sometimes but apart from that it just needs a little effort to shift gears. Im pretty sure this is a gear oil problem

I was also thinking of putting a liqui moly anti friction gear tube in there, the gear is hard as sheit. What do you think about that?

you need friction on the synchronizer cones so that can actually speed up to mesh quickly. Thats why we dont use GL5 - its too slippery and causes gear clash. Dont use that anti friction thing in a synchronized gearbox, its made for differentials and industrial geartrains.

if your gear shift is difficult, then identify the cause of it.

Honda city 04 vario.. giving gar gar / dug dug sounds on accelerating or picking up from idle. Suspension wala says one foundation is broken and he recommends replacing it with a Kabuli piece from sheshah. Says the foundation itself will cost nearly Rs 3k and 800 will be labor charges. He said new foundations that are available in market are not durable and automatic car put extra load on foundations that's why he is recommending Kabuli.

Another suspension guy who checked gave a long list of things that should be repaired including ball joint control arm etc and gave estimated cost of 20-25k

I am confused. Is it a good idea to just replace the foundation and drive a bit see if other suspension parts are really in need of repair?

I understand it depends on the manufacturer. What will be the concerned point in my case?

Oh wow I wasn't aware of that. Your knowledge is quite impressive. So what brand would you recommend in Pakistan? I'm a complete noob so I don't even know what good and what's not. And would there be a need to clean the pan while changing the oil?

pan? - your manual box doesnt have a pan/sump.

dont put that modifier in any automatic transmission

I got my hands on a cheap Mercedes w116 280. I'm willing to restore the car ( yes pretty horrible shape but it was dirt cheap ) would it be advisable to take this up as a project a lot of interior parts would be needed can they be sourced easy ? All help would be appreciated

w116 needing restore in Pakistan?

its a collosal task to be honest specially if parts are missing from the car, best find a car outside of Pakistan and have it stripped down and shipped piece by piece through some scrappie to Pakistan.

dont use that mechanic for any engine work - he has no idea whats going on. automatics are very gentle on mountings, manual ones beat them up.
