your windscreen is damaged, replace it - dont try to buff it clean as its a waste of money for road use passenger cars, buffing is good for show cars or classics that dont get driven.

I also have issue with diesel 2C. Yet to get Compression tested thought it was all fine 20 months ago.

1) Mechanic showed me piston moves inside its bore, like a play motion. This we checked when the head was open. Does this test means anything?

2) fuel efficiency is low, blow by gases there. Power is also low. Power improved bit when i timed pump with gauge. If i service the pump from typical diesel labs, is there a MOST Common Issues that i should check for?? Issues that may resolve 80% problem with 20% work or something like that. You know i cant expect perfection from these labs.

3) I feel my Pump timing point is too near the engine, it was RETARDED and had to be advanced. Is it possible to adjust PUMPS timing gear instead??? I want pump to be timed in the middle of its TO & Fro motion, that will probably put less stress on pump and timing will not get disturbed easily. What do u say??

Please guide is it advisable not to change the ATF later in life of the transmission as some people say the varnish deposits maybe cleaned off and transmission will slip?

mine has done 144k km and had a ATF change 8k km ago just before I bought it but that was by previous owner and according to the service history supposedly MB fluid was used however the fluid on the dipstick smells ever so slightly burnt and is a wee bit low at 82C ATF temperature. should I go ahead and change it with the proper MB stuff and drain the torque convertor as well as he may not have done that
Transmission runs just fine at the moment no issues.

also Shahnawaz says no need to replace the pilot bush if its not leaking but should i replace it anyway since i dont know how long its been there and I dont intend to touch the gearbox again anytime soon after this ATF change.
Will change the ATF, new gasket and filter
also is there a drain plug washer that must be replaced or can the old one be re used?

And lastly is there only one type of fluid that w203 and w204 etc take in this transmission or does Mb produce a variety of their own ATF fluids which MB one is right for my car

The "dont change if too old" is done because if your transmission is completely toasted from being run on old ATF for decades then the ATF is actually whats providing the friction to keep it running. - To identify such transmission remove ATF dipstick and put an oil drop on a tissue paper, if it blobs like a piece of gel or thick engine oil - dont change the ATF - instead save up to replace/rebuild it.

Your car is not one of those basket cases and I beleive this car was owned by a PW member before you, that member actually had the ATF changed completely (including torque converter) - quite some time ago too. The ATF charge is good for 50,000 kms easily. Dont worry about it. - I dont recall if the electric connector was changed or not.

MB advise to put a green dot on the connector lever to identify that the upgraded part with the thick O rings has been installed. If you do plan to change the ATF then buy a new connector, filter, gasket, ATF and cap seal. The ATF this gearbox will take is the 236.14 specification red ATF - dont use the blue one.

Shahnawaz is using the above bottle Total cost would be 44k rs but they are giving me a discount on the fluid and total cost would be 36k
They are charging 2k per litre after discount and rest is gasket pilot bush and filter
They say it'll take about 8 liters
I'll ask them for the cap seal as well is that for the filler neck or some other seal like parking prawl or drain bolt washer?

yes this one, - its red in shade, the new 236.15 is blue - dont use that.

the cap seal is the little red lock that is used to lock the filler cap on the dipstick hole.

btw - 2K/litre.. thats too steep to be honest. Try finding shell ATF 134, FUCHS also supply mercedes benz with ATF their product is called ATF 4134 - valvoline also sell it under their name.

shell is the lowest in cost.

i own nissan sunny 2012 1.6- korean make. low mileage about 44k kms.
bought 5 months back. the mileage was more than 10 kms/litre city. now it has dropped to under 8.
sparks plugs changed when bought. can u suggest what to do please???

@xulfiqar bhai I need ur help urgently. my mehran has gone for body work and tomorrow the workshop guys plan to apply the auto shield / anti rust coating. I was told that they will paint the floor (beneath the carpet), the entire undercarriage and the mudgrards. now please help me in this regard. should I let them do it their way? I am bit concerned about the exhaust pipes, the suspension/axels, the fuel tank and the shockers. is it ok if these get painted too??? moreover if I get the floor of the car coated, should I get it covered with the car's original paint colour???

Do u have experience with chinese bixenon projector lenses??

I was ordering bixenon hid lights for me and noticed chinese lenses are quite cheap, should i give them a try??

2) My 1990 corolla headlights are NOT crystal clear, but dotted (or whatever they are called), can they be used with projector lenses???

I am already using bixenon hid lights, work much better then halogen.
