Heard some klunk klunk noises when accelerating, driving over bumps and braking. Lifted the car up, both the bushing are worn! Replacing Pos. 47, 53 & 56 tomorrow. Will need to loosen all 4 bushings ( 2 in the front, 2 in the back ), support the rear diff with a hydraulic jack and break the old bushing with a pneumatic chisel. Then grease the new bushing with grease and slide into position on top - Raise each side with another jack - Voila. Good idea :)?

My daewoo racer hesitate upon acceleration on low rpm (~till 2000). When scanned, all sensors response was found normal(linear) except spark advance vaules which plunge to zero just at the moment of applying the throttle. the plotted numerical data is attached.
Car is with the stock engine and accessories. I and the mechanics tried best to resolve the issue but couldn't.
Please suggest/guide towards the problem and the solution.

try to change ignition module and pickup coil....for ignition module u have to apply heat sink paste on it.......check wiring of distributor and check pinouts of ecu for any broken pin,then clean the grips of ecu and distributor with electric contact cleaner....if not resolve then try resetting ecu or use ecu of another car

dear Xulfiqar sir,

i hope you are fine and best in health. i am doing a 1jzgte non vvti swap in my car. previously i was installing a vvti 1jz but couldnt set it up properly because of the lack of electricians knowledge regarding MAF wirring and VVTi setup with manual transmission on an auto ecu.

anyways now i have a nonvvti simple efi 1jzgte motor with R154 with manual ECU. i have two old engines in the store, which happens to be VVTI with ct15b turbos hooked up to them, i inspected the turbos they are perfect in condition. my question is for power gains and better boost, i am thinking of replacing my two small twin ct12b turbos with the two ct15b i have. reason of doing is first more power, seconldy saving cost of buying one bigger turbo. is this a good and practical idea?

If auto chole is not working, engine will run rough in cold start ups since cold engine requires rich mixture of fuel. And if vaccum advancer is not working, the car will feel under powered under load. That is what i understand! Wait for xulifiqar bhai for clear response though

We have recently bought toyota vitz 2007 model it has 81km on odo meter i wanted to change its cvt oil but thing this is i dont know if last owner changed it or not ? what do you suggest and lastly can i use synthetic oil in it as i dont what oil did last owner used

is there anything that works the same as an FPR but works with compressed air. I need such a valve but with the ability to adjust the pressure which is to be maintained

About to buy a facelift E53 BMW X5 with the 4.4i N62 v8 engine
I gather you are not a fan of Bmw v8s at all and people seem to suggest me the 6 cylinder models but it's been 6 months and all Bmw x5s I saw were terrible with owners maintained them from a ustaad in defense and don't even knew what oil viscosity ustaad was using and even that's the only thing they did oil changed no other maintenance

This one was a Bmw Dewan import as new from Germany and has full Bmw Dewan service history
I checked all the possible issues with n62 including valve stems(no smoke or oil reduction) clean engine bay all the valve cover gaskets seem fine the water pump has no leakage the underside is dry as a bone the coolant expansion tank has no leakage the radiator and all pipes etc are fine, I connected my autel maxidas scanner to it no errors or issues except one which said DME not found in engine electronics? Was that a issue with my scanner communication or with the car?

The guy just spend 9000$ on replacing the broken Panoramic sunroof, he also replaced some motor in the transmission a year back according to the service records he was telling me the name but I forgot he said Dewan said it needed a new gearbox but He imported that motor and replaced it at a independent and it's been fine ever since had no errors on my scanner and drove and shifted perfectly, spark plugs and ATF had also just been changed and BMW original engine oil and ATF had been used

Is there any other things I should check on x5s and particularly this engine ? Apart from the usual stuff I checked like the suspension bushings brakes etc car drives really well and pulls like a train

Only issue he tells me I might need to look at is that the AC clutch is making a noise but he says clutch can be replaced separately from the compressor and he didn't bother now as the AC is working perfectly infact it's working better than my Merc. He also only has one key so I have to factor in the cost of getting a spare key made from Dewan.

So is there any thing I need to further check?
I pray that it's no more expensive to maintain than the merc as keeping two German cars at the same time might become a issue plus the fuel economy is bound to be poor

Compared to a Honda vezel which I am a big critic of and compared to old prados with mostly kaabli parts installed I think this would prove to be better as I want to keep it for at least 6 years

My 2005 Honda City Vario starts vibrating and RPM drops when I put in 'R' mode. Sometimes when I put in 'R' mode keeping brake pedal pressed, it seems as if transmission is engaged forcing the vehicle to move at first but keeping the brake pedal pressed it gets released and vibration goes off. As soon as I release the brake pedal, it gets moving normally. RPM changes a little bit sometimes when I put it in 'D' but that it very nominal. (There is no issue with the pickup or any kind of noise in transmission or shifting. It drives perfect on both modes of D and R)

Last time it got better when I changed the Automatic Transmission Fluid.

Can you please guide me what can be wrong in this case.

I would be a bit wary of vanos wear and timing chain noise on that engine. Its a very deep down job on that.

The compressor clutch on it is not too bad, its the same deal like an older mercedes with the denso 7SB16C - its actually the same compressor mounted on the other side of the engine. The pulley and clutch diameters are different.

Do look at why the clutch failed - if it burnt the thermal fuse then test the clutch gap and the compressor for noise. If its the older style with 7SB16C part number, replace it with the upgraded one if its noisy.

I did check with a automotive stetchscope no timing chain noise and it's done 80k km so I don't imagine it would be develop timing chain problems

Btw Dewan seem a whole lot friendlier and eager to listen than Shahnawaz parts guy gave me his number relief really soon etc whereas the parts guy as Shahnawaz plain hates me
I am sure in a short time the Dewan people will hate me too if they try to act dumb on the car

sounds like your starting clutch is bad or the input plate springs are broken.

you will find that the kit 38 is more worn out than the kit 50 (kits are the circles with the spanner). The kit 38 aka subframe bushing takes the most beating, it actually moves sideways when the wheel moves up and down under load.

I have a 1kzte prado. Just few days back drove it 600 kms from interior Punjab to islamabad. No problems whatsoever but since I have parked it there has been significant coolant leakage from under the hood someplace. Also it is hard to start in the morning with white smoke and rough idling for couple minutes. Furthermore the mechanic has given verdict that it's a cracked head case as there are bubbles forming in the radiator. He says the leaked coolant is a result of coolant leaking from the head although there is no mixing of oil in radiator etc. Please guide me as to what the real problem is as there was no overheating and I have an egt gauge installed which was always kept below 600 Celsius.
