Yesterday I changed the battery of Mehran euro2 2014 model. After battery change car is hesitating, giving jerks while driving. Checked them pump it's working fine. What other reason could cause this?

salaam bro i need to ask smthing my brother have 4e engine in his car issue is that we r nt clear about the sequence of plug wires b.coz we simply install plug wires from left to right 1 2 3 4. i.e 1 from coil where 1 is written we put that wire in number 1 hole which the the left one and so on. now confusion started when a mechanic exchanged two wires cming from coils. he did in this sequence 1 3 2 4.. whats the logic behind it??

This is called ignition timing. It's sequence is 1-3-4-2 usually for 4-cylinder engines. It's ignites the fuel / spark plug spark as per requirement of the cylinder for power stroke in sequence. For 3-cylinder engine it's 1-3-2 and for 6-cylinder it's usually 1-5-3-6-2-4.

@xulfiqar happy to tell youmy car fuel mileage is restored after 1.5 years on1.4 engine with 1.5 ecu. it was ect sensor which was feeding wrong output and system was running rich.
now i need to ask you 2 questions

car is not going above 160km/h and its forcing hard at 160km/h.i dont want to rev like crazy i just want it performance to be healthy. is there some valve clearance issue ?please advice

car body is rusting from internal doors where draingae holes are present there is mud accumulated and also it rusting .please advice me on rust/will painting enemel simply inside the door can prevent rusting?

just to update change the alternator with a brand new one anyway, had to go on a roadtrip and new alternator was available with dewan, all errors or electrical anomalies gone now, produces 14.4V with all load on and the start up delay is now 2 seconds from alternator kicking in before it was 30 seconds or more till the engine was revved. so very happy now, kept the old one if i ever need it but probably would never need it now. fuse 5 behind the glovebox was fine.

there is a little problem in BMWs - the alternator sense wire is shared with the oil level sensor under the sump, what I see in experience is that the sensor goes bad and pulls down the ref voltage on that circuit. This causes the delayed start and even battery lamp indication on the gauge after startup.

simply disconnecting the faulty sensor brings up the voltage to normal and everything normalises.

if you have excessive rpm at that that speed then your clutch maybe slipping.

for rusting first apply some rust converter after a very good cleanup, then spray some primer on the area and coat it with cavity wax.

they were connecting it to every car they were scanning to power it mostly with the engine off but also sometimes with the engine off, I guess it is a some kind of trickle charger the value on it was anywehre from 80A to 0A depending on whether car was started or other load etc.
does this have any purpose? I dont see how a battery can go flat while the ignition is on for a few minutes while they are scanning or they could just start the engine.

I am new to the forum as well as to German Cars. I have been trying to compare following latest models:

BMW 318 (1.5 L, 134 hp)
Merc C180 (1.6 L, 154 hp)
Audi A4 (1.4L, 150 hp)

I test drove BMW and it felt underpowered but was OK in sports mode. This makes me think if C180 1.6 or a4 1.4 are underpowered too. Merc Kerb weight is higher (1500kg) Vs Audi (1375 kg) as per the specs. OR i am just taking it to far and in our conditions C180 1.6L and A4 1.4 specs are OK for normal driving and from resale prespective. I am particularly attracted to A4 1.4 because of its interior. Alternative choice is new Civic Turbo, so cannot upgrade to A6.

This is a very fancy battery charger and actually is used when programming your BMW when it needs to be left in key on position for hours while every module is questioned and written to. It will be very hard to find this part in Pakistan. Its actually a very smart unit - it will amp up when high demand is requested. e.g. cooling fan max rpm test and then idle down.

hey @Xulfiqar guru so i have just bought this 1,50,000 km driven 2001 7th gen civic vti overall its a clean ride but the previous owner has been a miser dude who stuck to basic maintenance like mobilail tabdeeli and replaced replaced pichle wala coil spring shaaks " so i want you to list me a list of items i need to check and replace to make the car a safe ride
also the car is averaging just fine should i take a panga by getting the throttle body cleaned and the ide has this issue with power steering makes this gurr gurr noise eats up steering fluid at times aswell should i take the burden of finding another replacement assembly from kabli scrappy else go for the EPS setup and if i do would that require any aaaltration also the abs light keeps randomly blinking and at times the abs pumps starts to pump up
anways list of itms what i think i should get checked

timing belt , break pads , break fluid pipes , fuel filter ,

at 160 car rpm is round about 4.5 -5 ... i don't think its too much and acceleration is good 0-120. i never checked its valve clearance even when i swap the engine 1.5 years ago. but it doesn't have rattling tappet noise.

amy cheaper way to prevent rust ? i don't think rust converter is available in pk

1. Sir whenever i presa pedal.. My car wont accelerate.. And it lose power.. This problem only occur on petrol.. It's fine on Gas.. Sir i am stuck in Naran kindly give me a fast reply please..

Actual sequence is ...1-3-4-2...

And it is by design to distribute power over the crank symmetrically.

bro thanks for the reply. u r right actually i saw many forums and this sequence was also there, but im still confused 4e has 2 coils one coil has 1&4 written and other has 2,3 now tell me where to insert those wires whats the correct way?? i mean from left to right. to my lil bit knowledge cylinder 1 is on the left then 2 and so on. so what m i supposed to do ?

If it's running fine then OK, because one wire here and there and miss fire will be observed.

With I4 engine (inline 4 cylinder), from the front it's cylinder#1 and then it's distributed accordingly to the ignition timing sequence of 1-3-4-2. Seems OK as u have described.

your car has waste spark ignition then,

cyl 1 is near the timing side of the engine and cyl 4 is near the transmission side, any pole from the 1-4 coil connects to either 1 or 4 and any pole from coil 2-3 coil connects to cylinder 2 or 3.

you need to go to a mechanic and have the fuel pump pressure tested with a guage setup.
