Check evaporator condensate drain line for clogging. It may be clogged.

Before you replied I went to an ac workshop and ask the guy about the smell. An important thing to note is that smell comes all the time weather the car is on or off or the ac is on or off. He said that there might be a dead mouse inside the blower motor housing, he say 70 percent of the times that's the problem. Is this true? I think he might be scamming me

honda book recommends 0w20, 0w30, 0w40, 5w30, 5w40, 10w30, 10w40 and 15w40

choose for best economy and target weather that you are going to experience.

Aoa bhai, need suggestions regarding my passo 07, producing smoke at high revs, reducing oil and when engine lid opened clear fumes of burning oil visible, is there any remote chance of rings being safe? The mechs suggested me to go for a swap and i feel its not the correct time as the odo has merely clocked 100k,

charade g30 , CL50 turbo diesel consuming too much fuel and giving lot of smoke,

Diesel lab guy (with out inspection) said it needs new nozzles, of 38 number .
I need to know the oem nozzles number of this engine plz. He also recommended not to change the pumP callibration .engine will give starting issues then. Xulfiqar bahi kindly suggest. Car in question is 1986 g30 turbo diesel

Guess I need to dig in some really old books of mine. Its been a while since I needed to reference some CL diesel material. If he simply said not to mess with the pump and wants to change nozzles, he's probably not sure of what he's doing. You can have the nozzles tested at any diesel place. There are a few critical points to note when checking them.

In most cases heavy smoking on a CL50 engine is bad timing, clogged intake, bad turbo or bad turbo wastegate, or screwed up pump because someone messed with the main fuel load screw.

Is not Zic A+ fully synthetic?

I am using usually TOTAL fully synthetic & that dealer used to change my Engine oil at interval of 8K Km(equivalent to 5K miles)

so please clarify as your comments about that "LA PARVA INSAAN" put me in thinking mode

May I know which oil you were using before ?

ZIC A+ 5w-20 is most popular & most famous among all other zic oils. I am using it in my 91 model Crown who recently clocked 356K with 2JZ Engine.

I guess there can be two reasons.

No. 1
The ZIC oil quality was not good. You may try to change the oil source if you want to continue with this oil.
And if you are confident that ZIC engine oil was purchased from good place and of good quality, then consider the No. 2 reason.

No. 2
Honda actually recommends 5w-30 oil SL grade for 2005 civic. I guess you were feeding it mineral oil before? (just my guess).
So you may shift to same grade as recommended or slightly up like 10w-40.

About smoke, it comes when engine oil start burning in combustion chamber. And again there can be two major reasons. No.1 the engine oil quality is sub-standard. No.2 the rings are weaker.

My next door neighbor has CITI 2006/7 model. Since day 1 he is feeding ZIC A+ and he is purely ?La Parva Insaan? for Engine oil. Because he normally change it after 7~8K without any filter change in mid-way. And guess what, his car never reduces any oil nor any smoke and engine is still healthy like bull after ~170K.

dear Xulfiqar bhai, i hope you are fine and best in health and spirit. as you might remember i am the guy who is doing a Skyline r32 restoration project, its a 4 door from lahore and you know the rest of the story. well the car is up and about and performing very well. i changed the enigne from a VVTI to a non-VVTI 1jzgte twin turbo. the only problem left with it is a knock knock( or a backlash) sound from the differential which only comes when i move the car from stand still in 1st gear or in reverse on low rpms. if i make a combination of clutch and higher revs then the sound is less but still there. the movement is not smooth and car moves in reverse in little jerks with the noise but once i let go off the clutch completely then the sound vanishes.

i am sharing the link to a video on youtube which is exactly the same thing happening with me. i have got the differential re-shimmed properly but no luck. please guide me further and help me to diagnose the problem.
