I have Mitsubishi EK wagon 2007 automatic. Recently I had to change all three engine mountings as well as Timing belt. After thismy car vibrates too much in D mode when idling. When I stop at signals etc for 10 sec or so, usually I don't put car in N or P. At that moment car starts to vibrate like a jeep. It wasn't there prior to changing the timing belt and mounting. I thought changing the mounting will make car more smooth but it has reversed effect.

I took my car to same mechanic who changed the timing belt and mounting and he said everything is fine, car has run 100k, its natural now... But I don't believe him. It wasn't there previously...

Did you also changed the transmission fluid . - KEI cars are all CVT transmission you may need to check the transmission fluid & renew, If thats in order,

kick the mechanic under belt, he must done serious mistake of misalignment with timing marks and car is shuddering at HALT and not sensing the brake pedal engaged.

the mounting you have replaced are NOT NEW but from scrap yard.

The Shop have cheated upon you by selling Painted old mounts as new.-

AoA guys, Yesterday I was traveling from Islamabad to dera ismail khan in my vitz 2006 model (1kr-fe model). I am new to this forum. I want an expert advice related to my Civic 2002 vti manual.

Yesterday Afternoon when I was coming back from my workplace I got stuck in huge traffic congestion for about an hour, during this my car was stalled with check engine light on. I waited for few minutes and the car was started easily but again stalled with irregular missing engine sound. I started it again and then drove to my home without any issues. (Note: Throughout the coolant temperature remained normal).

When I hooked up the OBDII scanner it showed two codes:

P1361 and P0336. (Cam and crank sensors).

I had cleared those codes and after that the car is running fine without any Check engine light or OBDII codes.

Please guide me what should I do?

Should I replace both the Cam and Crank position sensors?

Can it be possible that both codes (p0336 and p1361) appears simultaneously or one of them are false code????

car is corolla 2nz-fe 2013 100k kms on the odo.this came out to be the condition of the oil filler port.is it ok or should i go for an engine flush or what to do?

you need to swap out both sensors (assuming you have the DLI engine). The ECU is failing to find TDC.

Its quite a job in your car as you need to remove the timing belt covers to get access, might as well replace the belt too.

Thanks alot sir. The engine is D16W9. I have changed the cam sensor. The mechanic said that most of the times this sensor is bad and because of bad cam sensor,; the ecu give false p 0336 code. Any advice please in this regard. Now car is running fine without any code.

Contrary to the popular question of how to disable the seat belt beep, i am asking how to enable it. I came to know that my car has this "option" but need help enabling it.

Connected that but it only enabled the visual warning light.

Someone might have disconnected/killed/cut the tiny beeping speaker, look for it, if you can't find it look on the Internet

Another way to check it is to turn on the turn signal and listen for the chime , you don't hear it then you have a dead/cut speaker if you do hear the chime then your seatbelt is disconnected from it. Oh and I might be completely wrong because this might be different for different cars, but my corolla used the same speaker for both so it could be the same setup for you as both cars are Toyota's

I suspect that too that it may have been cut. Upon indicating there is a chime. Searched on the internet but all the info is about how to disable the chime -_-.

a piezo buzzer in the dash cluster is the speed & belt alert beeper. if the belt sign at cluster is blinking that means the buzzer is disconnected from inside the cluster if belt indicator is off check for belt clip arrester connection cables on either side of the seats. i suggest 1st get the vehicle scanned for any air-bag errors hidden in the ecu
