Assalam o Alaikum.
I filled my altis 1.6 with 4.0 ltr of engine oil. The oil on stick is slightly lower thn the max point.
my mechanic says its all right but i doubt.
Is it all right ??

AOA Xulfiqar bhai and everyone.

I got an axio X grade 2007 model. Its a nice car but its AC has started to trip down in the middle of the ride. I filled the gas about month ago, the tech said it had a lose gas valve which is now fixed. But now the AC works fine until it trips in the middle of the ride, for a minute or so and then starts cooling again. Seems like it trips on high RPM but not sure.

This is annoying so I went to Bashir AC at tariq road and they said these are sensor based compressors and cannot be fixed but only replaced. There was no thorough checkup, just advice to replace compressor. I checked with others AC techs around that road and seems only solution they have is to replace the compressor.

The same AC used to work smoothly before I charged it. I also changed the battery which resetted the ECU or something, this might be a problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks mate. Somehow it has stopped the tripping. Guess the ECU was reset and for some reason it fixed itself.

i have a civic VTI 2000 Auto with d15b duel vtec assembly transplanted with original ECU and Distributor along with original Throttle body and manifold that came with this car the engine recently overheated due to T-stat failure i changed radiator and the mechanic removed the T-Stat and after that a year later i started to see very tinny bubbles in my radiator the mechanic said head gasket is getting weak so i should keep it running and he made the fan direct now i am getting extremely low fuel mileage approximately 6 km/ litre with AC in city my question is is it possible to improve milage through trimpot or any other way in current condition of the engine though i don't prefer T-stat Removal and Fany Direct is also if i reinstal T-Stat and put fan on auto again will this effect on the Weak Engine Gasket ?

My cultus 2006 was reducing water in radiator. The fan was direct and there was no thermostat valve installed. However, reading many useful suggestions here I opted for changing radiator (placed new allwin dual channel) and put new hose pipes and thermostat valve. Now when I cold start engine and open the radiator cap I see water being thrown out of the radiator constantly. I keep pouring and it keeps taking water. This stops as soon as the car heats up and thermostat and fan start, I dont see bubbling up of water but just a smooth overflow from the top. I am unsure about whats going on. Is it normal or there is some issue about water being thrown out till the car heats up to the desired thermostat operation level

in bad condition and want to replace these seals, is some body share its size and type?

Dear I think you should get your head gasket checked. It might taking some air. Bubble are the reason for that.

My beloved Charade G11 is back at Karachi after faithfully serving as my stead without hassle in KPK and Quetta and its time for DIY maintenance with help of a friend who is also a nerd ustaad!!!!

Issue : The engine starts smooth and holds idle like a whistle but after some running engine rpms tend to stick instead of winding down. Infact the engine has a tendency to surge rpms once its unloaded (clutch depressed) and at low speeds in rush etc, every time the foot is taken off the gas pedal and clutch pressed, rpms seem to rise say to 2000 rpms. I suspect either HIC not working or my driving tech needs improvement as I am clutching early.

Burning Question What does and how does Hot idle compensator work?

My friend the ustaad inspected and declared that No 1 Piston valves are either sticking or leaking as the car rpms do not loose more than a trickle once its plug is pulled off, whereas car dies once no 2 or no 3 plugs are pulled off while running. Sounds logical. Do you concur?

Addendum: The Primary throttle is not closing as much as it should once accelerator is released. I checked manually/ visually and the rpms rolled to idle with a little nudge on the Throttle controlling arm. The primary butterfly had cracked earlier in April. Had been remade at a Khiraadia at Haathi Chowk, Pindi. Probably messed up things.. I will get that corrected if possible.

There is no problem with my clutching.

I await your learned response though...I am just groping in the dark here.

I have an Altis 2007, and had the same problem. You can check the intake manifold for a leakage on the posterior end i.e. the side of intakemanifold hidden from naked eye, and facing the engine. Get it replaced with a used one from Bilal Ganj, or Pindi saddar, or any used spare parts market. hope it will be a broken manifold.
