My car santro 2003 driven 42000 Kms after overhaul was running fine. Went to Hyundai 3S dealership for tappet adjustment. After tappet adjustment done. The car suddenly start hesitation and {Jhatka} in 2nd gear. OBD2 scan showed injector 2 problem for several times and sometimes showed okay. The technician told me to change MAP sensor, I came back without changing MAP or anything else. Drove car for 30 Kms to home with those Jhatkas in 2nd gear.
Now started my own experiments.
1. Injector 2 when unplugged (no change in engine sound)
2. Spark plug 2 wire unplugged (no change)
3. Injectors opened and cleaned with carb cleaner, installed back (still injector 2 unplugged shows no change)
4. Checked all injectors shows 16 ohms (within specs)
5. Injector connectors wiring checked (shows connectivity till the main junction to the ECU
6. Injector connectors give 12.20 Volts (as per specs)
7. Checked again but still injector to when unplugged have no effect on engine sound and power
8. Swapped injector 1 and 2 (injector 2 is suspicious) but still cylinder 2 is not responding
9. Now came back to spark plug, spark plug of cylinder 2 was fouled with black suits looked like short spark plug, installed known good spark plug but still cylinder 2 is not responding
@Xulfiqar Sir Cylinder 2 is not responding to swapped injector and spark plug after tappet adjustment. What could be the problem.
I have to repair my car tomorrow as my family will travel to hometown in this car for EID in few days. Please help as soon as possible.
