I have an issue .... the pick & more importantly, the mileage im getting from my City Prosmatec 2010 is...very sad.[/I]

after oil change (Caltex Havolin 10w30) & AC service (for diff reason thou) I'm not getting any better mileage. its around 9.4 km/l as per ODO.

previously, I've changed the plugs but they werent new. do u recommend that after getting totally new Honda spark plugs, it will return to normal which is around 12~14 km/l for City ?

or anything else still needs to be done? i read sumwhere on forum abt iridium plugs ? does Honda have those or have to buy them from sumwhere else ? will they be helpful ?

City comes with OEM Iridium NGK's... They should last you 100k KM's easily.

I never did. the previous owner havent either i guess, coz thats wat my mechanic said after checking the car....

shud that be adjusted ?

& mine is prosmatec....

wat I'm feeling is City Prosmatec and Civic Manual give about same fuel av.... :S :(

so changed spark plugs of my car at 100k.. i am attaching the old picture of spark plugs can anyone tell me the engine condition and is there any life left in these?

I just took and appointment at toyota dealer ship for Refreshing my ECU like for an OBD scan and Throttle Body sync tool for throttle motor has lost points cause the Rpm is not stable during gliding on motorway and has increased, the idle rpm since last tuneup which was not done at dealership and now it has lost its pick too.My car is altis 1.8 manual model is 2010 and i have installed iridium plugs which i am thinking to remove them and install the copper ones.What Zulfiqar bhai suggests i am waiting for his response any further things u want me to do at the workshop in order to improve my performance.

Last week i changed the entire power transmission oil of my Honda civic EXI Prosmetic 2006 with STP Power stearing fluid, 32FLOZ(1QT946ml) made in USA. Oil was changed due to leakage of pump seal.

Is this oil ok or harmful for civic??

After purchase of Honda civic EXI prosmetic 2006 model, following parts have been replaced:
Engine oil
oil filter
Laser irridium plugs
Power stearing oil
front wheel bearings
air filter

Now its giving me 10Km/L with AC within city (which is also good). While i have read on PW that with laser irridium plugs it should give 13Km/L with AC within city with light foot driving (upto 3K RPM).

Average was calculated by topping up the tank; Twice from Shell filling station and then twice from Totall .

Engine is smooth and no missing jerks or sounds is there. NO check engine light.
Car was also checked from a famous computer scan (Mr Abid at faisal town) and he was staisfied with the existing settings.

Is there anything remains to be checked to enhave the existing average???
Can stcok plugs enhance the fuel efficiency??

A friend waa facing similar issue on his altis. Turns oit the plugs he had were shorter in length than originals (some ustaad gi's kaarnama). Changed plugs to originals and pick was fine afterwards

my car loses rpm for a few seconds if i take off the oil filler cap, then it gets steady again, is this a sign of a good pcv valve?

Do valves only push up or down or do they work while spinning as well, to ensure even wear and tear?

@xulfiqar bhai now that i am back, took my car out today, what I noticed is that the cold start is fine, but when the car is at optimum temperature 85 and I shut it off and try to restart it, then it takes long like atleast 5 secs. Fuel pump??

Sir pcv valve is changed. last owner didn't changed the oil properly when i got the car it had very thick black oil in it. Engine sound perfect without any unusual sound, and it is smooth in drive that thing create doubt to me that either it is rings and head fault or any other technical fault kindly suggest any mechanic in hyd because dealerships here in hyd are frauds almost
