The referigerant used in your car is R134a, no other referigerant (gas) is recommended to be used.

You are advised not to alter or replace any part of your AC system with some other make/model than the factory installed setup.

For peak performance of your car AC, following must be ensured.
1. Required amount of good quality gas in the system (Honeywell Genetron R134a is one of the best referigerant available locally with a known source of import). Referigerant must be filled by weight, check the weight specifications written on a sticker inside engine bay, it may be around 450 grams for your car.
2. Required amount recommended refrigerant oil in the system (check compressor specifications for type and amount of oil required).
3. No other substance (other than referigerant & oil) both compressible and incomprehensible should exist inside the system, this includes ordinary air, moisture etc. Use of vacuum pump for pulling out air/moisture is highly recommended before filling referigerant once the system internals are exposed to air during repair/service.
4. Both condensor and evaporator should be kept clean. Use cabin AC filter if there is an option to fit one.
5. Evaporator fan must be working at its best. Replace fan if performance is not upto the mark. Also check the fan shroud it must be intact with all the rubber strips present on its sides to block air supply from the sides.
6. In last, a healthy compressor and expansion valve is a must for satisfactory operation of AC system.

In Karachi dusty environment,A/c filter in my family's corolla get replaced after every 3-4 months otherwise pressure sucks.
My ac wala suggested to remove cabin filter to tackle this issue.
What will be disadvantages if we remove ac cabin filter?

All dust will then be accumulated to the eavaporator, reach you as well, you will breath dust in disguise of cooled air.

Next you will get allergies and asthama. Then you will go to the doctor for medicines. You will start coughing more frequently. Bhabi and kids will think you are getting old too quickly.

Next you will carry an oxygen cylinder with you where ever you go as section of your lungs will be failed by then. Finally, you will permanently end up in hospital on a ventilator.

Sorry, but I cannot predict what is next. Nobody on this forum can handle all that.

So bro, keep on changing the filters every 3 months and enjoy life.

If you are using that 300-400 paper based air filters, your air blow will be slow resulting in always using your fan at speed 4.
Wash your condenser with every wash almost every week and use genuine air filter. Toyota one costs around 3800. It's a totally different material.
I changed it yesterday in my corolla and now the air flow is alot better to the extent that i use it mostly on fan speed 2.
So not recommending you to completely remove it. If your evaporator gets dirty, then getting the evaporator out from a Toyota, God help you. It's a total one day job because the dashboard needs to be taken apart.
The rest, it's your car and your choice.

Use API SL Grade oil. What grade are you using. 10W40 I guess is the right one. Also, you can use 20W50 but with SL grade.

How to check if ac tech has filled in right amount of gas? My car is taking too much load? I can't fill by weight because it is custom made ac. He used some gauges while filling gas. Is that method correct?
