How to know how much time a ignition coil takes to be charged ?
They dont need much time from 1 millisecond to 5 milliseconds.
BTW: it think you want to check if your coil is good or bad right? It is checked Like this
You can check the reading from your car's manual.
I am referring to Direct Ignition coil.
It's called Dwell time.Look into aftermarket standalones websites. Usually they have examples of dwell time tables on site.
What causes knock at certain rpm and for certain amount of period goes away itself and happens itself. Have use new plugs, there is good quality fuel too even have poured some 97 octane fuel. Ignition coils are also good as per mechanic and no codes generated. Fuel pump wasnāt good replaced with new one that solved long starting issue but this knock thing is not going away. One thing to mention I have bought this corolla 2015 gli automatic in used condition one I thing I have notice they last owner removed T valve and I have seen Throttle body piper is clamped with screw type normal original snaps with just simple clip. Looks like car had history of heat up I am not 100% sure but why would anyone going to remove T valve for no reason. Should I get my car check for compression. How to Identify If car has gone through heating thing. One more thing I have noticed that if I take car on some long drive episode and smells like is has heated up and I can differentiate between normal smell coming out of engine bay vs heating up engine bay smell. The reason Iām sure about that is I have cultus efi once that also heated to max as fan blade got broke and when I open up the hood there was different kinda smell that only happened when heated after that my cultus never smelled like it did when got heat up.
Sure that it's knock? could be rattling of any moving part. Always use an obd2 tool to check the temperature.
In M/T Corolla 1998, i felt grinding type noise ad little friction while engaging in gear "2" only while it is ok, butter-smooth and noiseless in gear numbers: 1,3,4,5 & R
What could be issue?
Iām 100% sure its pinging/knocking. I have check temp with OBD it shows normal. Never crossed 98 on full warmed engine.
Synchro. Common issue in toyota.
Then it will not be heat at that moment.Plugs are oem? Test the ignition coils.
@xulfiqar brother since last few days i was noticing kar kar sound in 1st 2nd gear. 2 days ago sound increased. Got checked. It was left side z link rod bit bend and left arm ball joint boot torn and it was making sound. I had to travel so mechanic straighten the z link rod with hammer and got repaired ball joint repaired from kharadya and it was hard again. Z link is 97% straight and planning to get it changed. Advice required to continue with that arm?? Cultus 2020 model AGS
Plugs are from NGK will get the coils over plugs checked.
Heat range is same as oem?
Get your injectors checked
I have a Rkr with 1KZ engine.I got the fuel tank of Rkr cleaned. But after it the diesel lifter is not working well and sometimes the jeep looses pick due to air in it. Even changed the lifter but the problem is still there. Secondly, the lifter sends fuel back to the tank instead of holding it when the jeep is turned off. This causes a delay in starting it and it takes longer to start.
Hi
You have a low side air leak in the system, probably one of your hoses inner linings is cracked or your mechanics used screw clamps on them which loosen with age
Also got the hoses checked for leaks but no leaks were found. The jeep do missing only for few seconds and then come back to normal. Got new screw clamps but the problem persists. What to do now ?
Can racing like quick shifting at higher rpm damage gear?
Stress will damage it. Oem transmission meant to handle the torque engine produces, but improper shifting will damage it. Racing might not.
Guys please read and guide
