Scanning isnt just for error codes, its to see what different sensors are picking up as data and what various motors are doing.

Exhaust Analyzers are nothing new and I am getting checked by it since mid 90's.

Most of mechanics tried to escape because they either they don't know the tool functioning or if by chance, they are able to operate, then they don't have idea how these calculations can be useful in proper tuning

I recently had a car sent to me with no error codes but severe level fuel usage and knocking at mid to high rpm.

It was a slightly older car and was reporting no errors at all. It had a maf and map sensor to work fuelling, both were showing bad readings but not bad enough to show error.

Recently bought yaris Gli manual 1.3 2nd hand so dont have service manual etc. Is there a way to get soft or hard copy service manual somewhere
Havn't drove out of city. 37k milage. Whatever I do even the meter says em getting 20km/liter tank to tank em getting 10km/liter in city
Even if I drive with havy foot its 10km/liter
I had an obd scaner kindly guide me what to look for
It idels on 600rpm without AC and arround 900 with AC

Install "Car scanner" it plots better graphs then torque pro.
Warm up the car then check.

G. I went to get the car checked today from a well reputed and knowledgeable person.
all sensors and readings were within workshop manual specs.. engine load was slightly high at 30%.. injector pulse, throttle, spark plug (values I mean), DBW stuck ratio, A/F ratio, everything was within normal specs according to manual... (actually in my case the readings are exactly in the middle of ranges, so ...)
..
So, at the end changing spark plugs (80,000 km used)..
..

@capsat @Xulfiqar 2007 Toyota XLI came with 2nzfe engine in Pakistan, is this engine vvti or non vti?

The Toyota 2NZ-FE engine has electronic fuel injection system, VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) system on the intake side, ETCS-i (Electronic Throttle Control System-intelligent) and DIS-4 ignition system with individual ignition coil for each spark plug.

Toyota Pakistan introduced VVT-i 2nz from 2008-09 model corolla before that there wasn’t any VVT in any of model.
I’m saying this because Toyota highlighted this thing as major upgrade in their corolla engine.

brake fluid is an alcohol and absorbs water right from the air, - when it becomes "wet" its working performance degrades by more than 50% and the water in the system rusts/corrodes it from inside out.

Fuel filter is the very first thing along with fuel pump that you need to change. As these things are replaced with respect to total mileage. So not paying attention to fuel filter makes the fuel pump weak. Throttle getting very dirty and clogged makes the throttle response near to being very clumsy requires cleaning and recalibration is done with good scanner. That's the first thing you should do.

sorry for replaying late Its basically known as 5 gas analysis or exhaust gas analysis or emission analysis
as far as my vague research its used to identify gasses and their quantity existing exhaust. which tells unburned fuel leaving exhaust or partially burnt fuel each case generate different gasses so in past this was the way to identify hidden issues. There are online calculators where you can simply put your values and get you air fuel ratio which ideally be 14.7 portions of air against 1 portion of fuel. there are many things which I can't explain properly. Some seniors might help you properly.

as far as your question I just know one in Sahiwal City (Adil Moter) where I 1st seen this type of machine in working.

Sir car corolla 2015 automatic knocks at certain rpm between 1800 to 2300 or 2500.
Some times happens continuously and suddenly vanishes away it self I have check both with and without AC.
Whether ai have suddenly accelerate or normal it happens either way.
No check light or codes.

I have a Passo 2018 driven 10,000 km: past two oil changes were done when Odo reading was 3,000 km and then when it was 7,000 km using Toyotas Taglon fully synthetic 5w-50 oil. However now reading the owners manual I have found out that the recommended oil is 0W-20 or 5w-30 for Passo 1KRFE. Which would you suggest should be used in next oil change? I live in karachi to give you an idea about weather conditions.
Secondly if I’m changing what oil grade i put in engine now (effectively from 5w-50 to 0w-20or5w-30) should I get an engine oil flush ? The service representative was saying that an engine oil flush is recommended when changing oil grades but i am not convinced.

There is no harm in changing the oil grade, and there is no need for any flush.
