Sir, i have a question regarding tartri / citric acid flush, how much chances are there that the flush will cause the Welch plugs to leak?

That depends on how bad your cooling system is, e.g. if you maintained it such that it looks like a sunken ship then it will 100% blow out from all areas.

If your system is somewhat maintained, it will work

For which of your car are you asking, If it is your Khair Un Nisa, then apparently i think, you can take bold step to give it tartri / citric acid flush, rest condition you will get to know after process but it seems to me that it will survive.

I also did Acid flush of Radiator plus Engine flush via flush oil on my Khair Un Nisa for which 99% to 100% members had a doubt that it would not survived and later on, leakage issues will come but Alhamdolillah, they survived

meherunissa and khairunissa have one difference, which is that khairunissa use aluminium block and head - so corrossion is much less than meherunissa which is iron block and aluminium head.

The bad that happens with khairunissa is corrossion of the waterpump inlet and the waterpump itself getting eaten away with cavitation, worst cases - the block erodes away from the deck. That is a major issue as you need a new engine then.

I am getting horrible (6 kmpl city, 12 kmpl Motorway @ 100kmhr) fuel average lately (for last 10,000 kmm and its getting worse) and car is 155,000 km driven (Honda Civic 2009 1.8L). So I thought of performing a "Mid Life Upgrade".

Engine is also feeling underpowered (used to feel very light and very lively at all rpms)..
Please tell me IF I need to add any item other than
MAF
O2 upstream
O2 downstream sensor
Ignition Coils
Spark Plugs
(what about MAP?) for new-like fuel efficiency?.
I am not planning to install a new catalytic converter (also dont have one) so does "O2 downstream sensor play any role in Fuel mixture calculations/engine efficiency?
**There are other items I am changing as well (suspension etc) but currently want to return-car to factory fuel average..
The oils etc are changed as routine.

You need to connect the scanner and see what is wrong, and if you don't have scanner you can go to @dani_kk or @rajaatta since you are in Islamabad. Most likely it is due to bad, unplugged or poorly plugged sensors.

well i went to some mechanics (multiple visits).. They say nothing is wrong (not getting any codes, sensors working normally within parameters).. **They used scanner.

Get fuel trim checked on the scanner. O2 sensor and fuel trim readings will determine what's gone bad with the car. There is something wrong with air fuel mixture or injectors might also be leaking consuming extra fuel

Had seen a mechanic(friend) using exhaust gas tester machine to set cars fuel efficiency. like (CO, HC, NOx, CO2, O2) and the end result was awesome but this machine is really costly as per my vague knowledge its around 250k to 450k dose OBD scanning do the job done or emission testing is a better way to go?

haven't seen any other car machinic using this except this guy em talking about.

Search for the service manual first.
Compare the idle values of sensors with you car real time data.
