Yeah, thats what I thought you meant,

lining is a covering, when I mentioned to check linings, I meant to check the rubber hose internal lining, if its showing cracking at edges, it will suck air.

What is the ideal method to replace Valve cover gasket.
Specially in Honda.
I have a very leaky Gasket.
I cannot find a permatex high temp in a day or 2.as i have to leave for a long trip
I have found "Genuine Grey RTV high temp Silicon Sealant" by Harris.
Which is easily available currently can i use it?

CL denotes as close loop.
What is complete error code?

perhaps the vehicle is running over tap water direct fans without any thermostat valve in system. Possibly code P0125 @mzulqurnain81

In my car it is also showing Cl in data list at idle but there is no error code. Check in picture please. Car is Toyota vitz.

Hi, @xulfiqar, I have a 660cc turbocharged SOHC F6A 2-valve that I'm trying to find a decent oil for. It has 48,000km on it, no leaks, no oil consumption, hasn't been worked on. Looks okay under the valve cover. Spec calls for 10W-30 API SF, but I can't find any.

I've used Shell HX6 10W-40 SN, Valvoline SynPower 5W-30 SN (10.1 cSt @ 100C, oil pressure light when warm, had to dump it) and I'm now using Havoline Extra 10W-40 SL. The PDS for Havoline Extra says it should have 1100ppm zinc, if I'm not mistaken, so I should be fine. The oil seems to have performed well over the last few months and 2000km.

I've been thinking about switching to Delo Gold Ultra 15W-40 SL, but the PDS doesn't show any specs for zinc content, even though the TBN is 10.2.

Alternatively, I wanted to try AMSOIL's Premium Protection 10W-40, which says it's backwards compatible up to SG and has a high zinc content, although the exact amount isn't specified, nor could I find a VOA - but the TBN is higher at 12.1.

I'd much rather keep it simple, economical, and have a 5k OCI, but I'm not sure if I'm making the right choice. What do you recommend?

That's how it should be when warmed. Close loop means ecu is taking feedback form o2 and adjusting the AFR's. Then there's open loop when ecu just look into the tables and ignore feedback from o2.

Fuel status CL means system is in closed loop as engine is fully warmed up and will regulate fuelling depending on input and output sensors.

You sure your mechanic repairs cars and not bicycles?

AoA Xulfiqar Bro! I'm sure this has been discussed before but are engine flushes safe? Now I have basic very basic information like some companies have outlined that their product complies with certain regulations regarding oil & valve seals.etc..but how to ensure if one is safe for the car. Specifically asking for a w204 running a m271 having 120k kms on the odometer ,also comment on the products available locally like Flamingo , Bell, Total etc..

Its 120k driven . The mobil oil is not dirty but its new so thats that.

Sir your opinion for this as i also saw 2020 Corolla and when i just put finger near inside of oil cap and allied area, it was full of gunk, think mass seems sort of "keechar" engine mey daal diya ho.

Although user is draining oil at 5k interval but using Shell brand oil from outside Toyota dealership, Reason of course is the costly maintenance so owner dont want to retain warranty on bricks of high routine maintenance cost from dealership

If you never had a single oil change for 120,000 kms then it may be recommended. But if you had some oil changes in those 120k with the correct oil you wont need any flush.

Either someone is adding coolant to the oil or the engine has a headgasket breach or the pcv system is dead.

Or the engine never warms up.

Its one or a combination of the above.
