dont just replace the crank sensor - you may have a wiring issue to the crank sensor too. Its best to test the crank sensor waveform before condeming the sensor.
Its checked first at the sensor, then at the ecu connector. Remedy any anomaly that you see, on VR sensors the wires are shielded or twisted - do not untwist them or undo the shield.
Long long long ago a few hundred Balenos from PS had faulty wiring to the crank sensor where the wiring shield was broken near the alternator, As the alternator aged - the wiring would pick up noise and create havoc with those psuedo signals.
