Almost similar query of mine as of @Thinking. In my relative's Corolla 2006 having 2NZ-FE ran around 185K on odometer, they were using 5w30 but it started oil decrease issue so since last 1 year or so, they have started pouring ZIC Fully Synthetic 10w40, even Oil selling shop/centre recommended to change oil after 6.5K to 7K but almost half Oil (Almost 1.875 Litre) reduced after driving 3,000 Kilometers and they had to top-up half oil.

Apparently, there is not a single drop leakage somewhere.

Now considering aging factor of 17 years old car + odometer reading, should they continue with 10w40 and keep on topping-up every 3K or should they switch to 20w40 or 20w50

Was anything checked or inspected to determine cause of oil loss?

If you are experiencing literal power loss and mechanical noise with the correct lube at full temperature then your engine is in quite bad shape and you are nursing it along for some more few kms.

Using heavier/thicker lube oil for the effect of “jalata nahi aur sunn bhi hai” is cartoonish at best.

Btw, 5w50 and 20w50 have nearly same viscosity when hot and its bad for your tiny engine.

Looking for recommendations.
I am planning to change all 4 shocks for my Honda city. Any recommendations for a good place from where I can get and change them in reasonable price. Also thinking to change the engine foundations too for comfortable and smooth drive. Need recommendations for place and parts. Should I go for kabli or new one and from where dealership or local workshop

yes it is not recommended. however it works so going with it for now. if i dont change the car in near future than will get it overhauled and afterwards will switch to 5w-30 which is the correct oil i think.

toyota 3S did this to car unfortunately by pouring 20w-50 and they did the same with my friends prius 2013 and still continue to pour 20w-50 in it and strangely it works fine as well.

lets just say that 20w-50 is the by default viscosity of Pakistan and strangely it works

yes and drives very well without any issues and gives approx 13 KMPL in city drive and runs on 100% AC/Heater with no knocking nothing else. AL HAMD U LILLAH.

Toyota were probably morons when they decided to prescribe 0w20 viscosity lubes for this engine.

They should hire people from Pakistan and stop contracting starett and mitutoyo or sieko for instrumentation, we have humans that can exceed any measurement criteria.

Any Tire buying guides here put some light on anyone used Irani tires in longer run?
Pros & Cons interns of road grip, durability, fuel economy, etc etc. How about Irani Yazd brand, as far I have researched it is made in Iran under license from Vredestein Holland Tire Company which is know to be good tire company. Any reviews by it's users here?

What is the price range of Irani tyres and where are they available?

@Xulfiqar just recently changed my clutch and car vibrates mildly when acceleration in low rpms (1200-2200) and vanishes at higher revs. Car does not shudder while engaging or disengaging clutch. Is it possible due to tightening engine mounts while engine is on jack ?

I have used yazd tires personally, they provided good reliable service as long as the tire being purchased was not expired, or mechanically damaged or a throwout (scrap from factory)

And the tire was meant for the correct application, meaning not using a passenger car tire on a loader truck.

Yes they are available new here and cheaper than Chinese one.

They are available in good price range compared to Chinese tires and mostly available in Karachi and least available in rwp, Lahore etc
