Can we replace the ignition coil between different models of cars other than connecter and shape difference? if not then can you explain why.
As per my understanding, it is just a step-up transformer, we apply single to MOSFET/transistor of ignition coil via ECU and get high voltage at the output.

General concept is:
Bigger engine has bigger quantity of air fuel mixture hence that needs stronger arc than that of smaller engines.

May be 1.0L and 1.3L vitz, corolla and Yaris use same type of coils as capacity difference is lesser.

Do you know how much time that coil needs to fully charge? And how much advance you need pulse to be so spark happens at exactly right time?

Best is to use cdi then!

The capacitor basically force feeds the coil regardless of whats happening!

Problem is that people in Pk including mechanics dont know what cdi is, they even call electronic distributor as cdi

They even call VVTI as VTEC.
Was watching a youtube video where another youtuber had issues with his MarkX, so they changed ECU, VVTI and every other thing which can be replaced.
"Or humnay VTEC mangwa lye hein, dekhtay hein ab kia result ata hai"
Later guy did mentioned that ustads here call it VTEC.

@Xulfiqar I am planning to pressure test the cooling system of my Civic.

I drilled a hole in a spare radiator top hose and stuck a tire valve in there. Is there any downside to this compared to sticking a valve in the radiator cap?

It wont work as the cap on your car is a microcap and is vented, best make an adapter from a junked radiator cap

I just experienced it first hand; the system is not building pressure this way. Guess I will have to modify a radiator cap now.

@Xulfiqar what would be sure shot procedure to verify whether head gasket is going bad.
I have a coolant reduction problem but every workshop I go to just wants to change head gasket without troubleshooting. There are currently no visible leaks anywhere, there were 1-2 earlier which were pretty obvious due to coolant polling but right now there aren't any. Radiator and heater core are fine. Heater is currently bypassed to rule out any leakage in it.
I had done pressure test sometime back by myself but it also did not yield any fruitful results. The only thing I noticed was radiator cap outside seal giving way when pressure increased enough but that seal is not under pressure normally and it should not be causing any issue.

If the radiator cap outer seal leaks, your cooling system will be low on coolant after every warm up cycle. If the cap is rather newish and the seal is soft, then bend the cap claws down a bit and retest

Or just replace cap with a new genuine part and retest,

With that seal leaking, the coolant exchange from the expansion tank wont work

Well let me clarify that it is not leaking under normal conditions. It only leaked when I pressure tested the system. Now I don't have pressure gauge to know at exactly what pressure it started leaking but I did bend the claws for tight grip. Later I replaced cap with oem one. However coolant expansion and reduction back to radiator has been fine in any case. Radiator does suck coolant back from expansion tank. Due to this mysterious leak expansion bottle runs dry in 2-3 weeks or earlier if the car is run more.

Are all hose clamps original ear type or replaced with screw type? How are the hose barbs? Corroded?
