Asking about Altis 1.8 auto (2005-2008)

Dear Pakwheelers.

I need to ask about Toyota Altis 1.8 auto.
Is it a good buy now adays?

Experts and user of this car can please shed some light on this positive and negative points.
Obviously iwill go for a maintained car.

Any specific issues to check?

Ps : if any maintained car is for sale, please let me know.

a decent one of those are around 12 plus these days.
The are great cars, the seats are slightly hard and i found the leg room to be slightly less than usual, otherwise an amazing machine

Its an old car, will be driven more then 150k kms in most cases. Good for rough and tough usage. Altis in this shape had ABS so it has better brakes then xli gli in this shape which are known for there brake fault. Other then that its bullet proof as its a Toyota, change engine oil and transmission fluid at time and it lasts half a million kms.

I owned same shape and love this model.
Finding one in great condition is a blessing, 3-4 year back i saw 8000 driven car which was advertised for 15 lacs, i guess there was little room for negotiation but I didn’t have the money that time. I would love to buy this today even.

Pros:
It has no knows issues and problems, in my eyes it trouble free car
Ride height and seat position is perfect for elder people to sit and get out of car, rear seats are comfortable too
Believe be it takes bumps and pot holes without any problem and consider it min suv.

Cons:
With spirited driving it will not not give more than 7 kmpl, dont expect more than 10
Its an old car now even if in good condition comfort is a problem because at motorway speeds you compare it with newer cars this one has more cabin noise and little vibrations

Yes i believe now adays a maintained vehicle is hard to find, thats why its been almost a year im searching one.
There is one in my contacts, the real maintained vehicle. Only 60k driven. Mint condition. The guy is confused about selling, and when he make mind he ask 15 lacs for it. Some day 16.

Still hoping for best.

Don’t spend this much amount on such a old model car. Better get 2010-11 altis in 15-16 lakhs then, its much better car compared to 2007 altis in every aspect.

There was one on pkwheels website, same car jis ka suneel bhai ney review b kia tha. abi us ka ad he nahi i guess, ya remove ho geya ya sel ho gae. If i were you so far is wqt kuch bethar yeh wali gari lagi.

this particular model is bullet proof...dont need much attention besides fluid change... auto versions returns 11Km/ltr for city driving....AC on or off does not matter.... on motorways 16+ at speeds of 120km/hr at 3k rpm

yes a there is cabon noise and vibrations more than newer models but bearable...but the car stayd under control all the time..
