Yep exactly. But I cannot use mercon V in place of dexron VI or toyota WS
Tried it, bad results followed.
I do like valvoline maxlife though, it really works nice but their spec sheet needs a bowl of salt. So i rather choose to be sensible.
Mercon V is considered a heavy body hfm atf like toyota tiv or GM dexron. IIIH, chrysler atf 4 etc
Mercon LV, toyota WS, GM dex VI, GM dex HP, ZF 8 etc are considered low viscosity hfm atf.
I like to keep such separate.
Maxlife currently is low viscosity only, other manufacturers are offering 2 kinds of multi vehicle stuff which makes more sense.
