On Friday, at 9:00 pm I went to Committee Chowk, Rawalpindi to meet Siddique mechanic as suggested by a Pakwheeler, . I reached there late so most shops were closed. So decided to go to Zaheer autos to discuss the matter regarding 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] gear ?katak? sound. On the way I get my bike checked from Honda City Service Centre (Honda 1S shop). After checking the bike the mechanic told me that there is no issue with gears. I can fix it. The katak noise will be fix after replacement of rear wheel?s rubbers. He opened the bottom chain cover and moved the wheel with the help of chain while bike was in gear. There was a play in wheel. I asked him what if the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] gear voice still there after replacement of rubbers. He was so confident that he said I will take back my rubbers and will not charge anything. I said him to go ahead. He replaced the rubbers and placed small pieces of clutch plates in rubbers.
After all the exercise, the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] gear noise was still there. The mechanic changed the track and said this 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] gear voice is not issue. It is very common even in new CD-70 (2014) because ?goli system? for gear shifting is installed in these bikes . He was also embarrassed. However I gave him the charges and returned to home.
Now after changing of rubbers I have felt that the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] gear voice is little bit reduced and pick of bike is improved. The jerk when we move the bike from 1[SUP]st[/SUP] or 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] gear is removed. So a little bit improvement but with an other problem. When I move wheel while bike on stand, I hear voice tak tak tak tak
