Storm, valid points. But my post was not to smack your driving skills. Rather, I used the example of you and Levin to demonstrate how much kids look up to you. It's an appreciation of you guys, but it comes with a great deal of responsibility. There is no doubt in my mind you know your way around a track. And there is no doubt in my mind that if you jumped off a cliff you wouldnt want a kid to see you do it as well.
You must have done some very dangerous things in your life, but on this forum, like in life there are certain things you shouldnt tell your fans. 19 of them might not grab a skateboard and jump off a cliff, but 1 might. It's that ONE kid who you get the best of when you post a picture of your car going 180kmph. Even if it's not a race.
The issue at hand in this thread is not Adil. There is another thread for him. Rather, the issue in this thread is the IMPACT older members have on teenagers.
It would be foolish and extremely insulting to say movies and films have the same impact. They certainly do, but what moral conviction do you have that you legitimize your own actions on a "well, they did it. so i can too" type of mentality. To deflect the blame is a sign of a guilty man. What burden will you have in your heart the day a grieving parent comes to you and says "I didnt know what this website was teaching my kid. He died trying to beat _____'s record."
This is no movie or game Alta, this is life. You meet with these children, you laugh with them and you mean the world to them. There is a responsibility that comes with that role. Especially if one of them decides to take a spin down a winding road at 180kmph.
