AUDI A4 2010 need help

AOA,
I am just switching my car to AUDI A4 1.8 with sr variant. Recently talked with some one who is selling A4 2010 model in 42lac final. I dont know much about audi so some questions for experts and owners of this model.
1. I am switching from Civic Turbo 16 model to A4 2010 is this a good decision in terms of speed, comfort etc?
2. is this car worth 42lac if there are only 2 pieces are touched up?
3. what are the common issues in audi a4 2010 so I can check those first when I visit to purchase this car and how I can check if possible?
4. Can we go to audi showroom for a detailed checkup if every thing is working and if there is no malfunction. if yes how much they will charge?
5. what about parts and maintenance?

Don't go for it. Audi A4 2008-2013 had many faults. Most common issue is excessive oil consumption, In my opinion go for mercedes C class 2008-2010, its much reliable as compared to Audi & parts are also easily available.

An Audi A4 for only 40 lacs! This is gem of a car in terms of look and far apart as compared to Civic in terms of class and luxury.

As compared to the new rubbish Civic 1.5 that cost about 60-80 lacs this is a high value car. If I were you, I would have bought the car eyes closed for weekend drive.

I don't think we have Mercedes branch in Pakistan. But we do have the Audi branch that is a plus.

The car may be old but this is not an issue if you can find the spare parts. You be should research and look online (partscentral, etc) if common parts such as filter, shocks, break pads, lights, immobilizer ring unit, and others that could go wrong in an old car.

You can also read Audi A4 4th generation reviews at PakWheels that are generally positive.

I say go for it if you can afford the spare parts and repairs.

visited Okara last night for audio a4 1.8T. they said fnf 42lac but there was some issues in car.
missing issue they said with normal fuel car starts missing with high octane this problem will be gone.. well I am not sure about it
next ac was not working
smart entry was not working
one back light was not working
oil level was showing half
some other minor issue
So we left it after a short try...

searching for some more good one a4..will keep sharing here

Yes. These are a lot of issues. You should try PakWheels as I found dozens of car in that price range.

I don't have first hand experience with Audi, but as an owner of Civic Turbo 2016 and Mercedes C Class 2014 I can give you my views.

Speed wise it wouldn't be much of a step up, if at all because Civic Turbo is pretty quick. Comfort and quality wise it will be in a different league as compared to Civic. Detailed inspection of a used car at an Audi dealer would be pretty expensive. Parts and maintenance would not be as simple - if you are planning to have it maintained at dealership then it will be quite expensive and if you are going to self maintain it (including sourcing parts) then it would be a bit tricky as parts availability wouldn't be as abundant. Further, maintenance jobs on German cars are a bit peculiar compared to Japanese cars which the mechanics generally know better.

Thanks guys for such help...did not find any other good option in audi yet fits in my budget...my friends are asking to look for Crown 2004 model also that fits in my budget....what about this option if we compare audi and crown?

Yes i have also listened about that car, Is listed since much of time. Better quit that and avoid these machines.

Unless you are a car restoration enthusiast, it is not recommended to buy a +8 years old car with 40 million.

You should consider resale and repairs.
Old cars will bug you a lot.

Consider saving a bit and buy a new KIA Elantra and Sorento. The latest generation KIA cars are more reliable, luxurious and much better looking than the crappy latest generation Honda and Toyota cars.

I have audi a4 2010 model now....my experience is really good with this car...just have one issue which I need to discuss....its I think non mmi display...need to know if there is some possibility to have android head unit or even some universal android head unit to be placed on dashboard some way....or if not possible some other way to play videos along with back camera?

Hello experts,

I have audi a4 2010 model. Its showing gear box mallfunction error but stating I can continue drive. I am thinking to change the transmission oil / gear oil.
Does any one help me on this which transmission oil It should be and how many litters requires to fill gear box?

Dont go the rabbit hole of throwing parts/fluids at it. Go about diagnosing it through european compatible scanner and post the codes here.

Thanks for the reply but I am not sure if I can find some good scanner in Faisalabad some where..Reason I am thinking to change transmission oil is I am sure from start to end until I have this car no once tried to change transmission fluid...I have some old records of audi center Islamabad receipts but no once single receipt for transmission fluid change....

So if you guys guide me about the oil brand and oil quantity / liters I will go with it first...
I will do scanning also once will go to ISB or LHR some day after Eid...
