Audi A4 2014 1.8tfsi or Mercedes c200 2014 model

Aoa everyone.

I need help in choosing between Audi2014 1.8 B8 and Mercedes C200 2014 my budget is 6.0 m. This is my first time buying a German machine so I want make me take a decision. I am comparing the cars as in price, maintainence cost and the resale. So need your suggestions.

In Pakistan, maintenance cost, spare parts availability and prices of Mercedes are generally better than Audi or BMW though it's still very expensive to maintain germans over here but situation for Benz seems a bit better than others. You can find a nice maintained W204 facelift in 50-60 lac, I prefer the W204 over the A4 B8 as it looks wayyyyy better especially when equipped with the AMG package. Resale of C-Class is decent over here, still won't sell as quick as a Corolla or Civic though.

Thanks for explaining. Buy van you please tell me how much of monthly cost is actually cos everyone is asking me not to buy German due to maintenance cost. So how expensive it really is?

I am planning to buy a Mercedes Benz class 180 or 200... model 2004-2007... is there a concern for parts and maintenance.. is it too costly say as compared to a HONDA CIVIC

Audi A4 B8 suffered from severe and excessive oil burning issues from 2008-2014 models. So much so that they ended up putting in the owners manual that 1L of engine oil reduction after 1000miles (or 500ml after 1000km) is normal. The issue was reportedly fixed around 2014 models so you are right around on that mark with your search. so do a bit of research when you narrow down on a vehicle.
I owned a 2010 B8 for a short while hence speaking from experience. I didn't like the suspension too which was a bit clunky over bumps.... Audi B8s are also notorious for failing door actuators.
C200 will most probably have an M271 engine which is quite simple in design. I currently have a W203 C180 which shares the same engine. Few issues i faced with this one are:
1. Cam Adjusters and timing chains tend to fail around 140km mark. So far i've seen it in two cars.
2. The wideband silencer installed right before the supercharger doesn't work too good and you can hear it whine at cold start.
3. Engine sound with open hood is not as quite as compared to Japanese cars like Toyota and Honda

Both of these cars are quite expensive if it comes down to fixing anything but from maintenance point of view i.e. Fluids and Filters, they are same as Japanese cars. probably a little bit expensive if you stick to OEM.
If it's a TFSI 1.8 or 2.0 or C200 Kompressor, you're looking at Turbos and Superchargers both of which are less forgiving to inferior quality oils hence you have to be stick with OEM oil specs and service intervals.
Both of these engines can set you back with 300k to 400k with proper rebuild job with OEM components but if you happy with aftermarket parts and able to find a good mechanic, the price will cut in half.

I am actually looking for a CGI Model not a kompresser. So keeping in mind this fact will that be a good choice or not ?
And yes I know about the Audi oil consumption and top up but I have heard that the maintenance cost of Audi is cheap. Is it true ?

Honest question. If you are shelling out 6mil why go for the compact class. Get a jdm midsize car thats newer but if you really really want german then ofc its different. The w204 is gorgeous so i can understand

What is the difference between CGI and Kompressor? Kompressors are supercharged aren't they?

CGI is Turbocharged Vs Kompressor is Supercharged.
Still you end up in same league as far as oil interval and quality is concerned.
Basic oil and filter service for all cars cost almost the same..

I didnt mean corolla civic as they fall in same size bracket which is compact. I meant midsize cars like markx accord camry etc. But if you want german then ofc these cars are irrelevant.

Markx is a good option to consider but would there be any difference between these two considering the Merc and markx ?

Mark X is cheaper to maintain as compared to Mercedes but the problem is that 70% of them have been abused so bad by local ustaads who have fiddled around with their electronics and wiring etc etc. Plus it's gotten so expensive to buy a maintained one for e.g, a 300G premium just sold for 40 lac here in Peshawar, though that car was low mileage, in genuine paint and full option but still, not worth it to be honest. Cars have gotten so expensive that nothing seems value for money anymore aur koi bhi garri samaj nai athi qeemat may.

Markx gen 2 are cleaner than the older ones. Markx is bigger in size and engine. Go for the 3.5 motor as fuel economy is not that different but driving pleasure is.
In general compared to the w204 and a4 this option will be wayyy more reliable and resale would great as well
