Audi A4 Convertible 2.3/6 floppy pedal

Hello Guys,
Its my cousin's car 2003.What happened one night he was going back to Lahore from Saraialamgir when the car started making funny noise near Kala shah kako and it was the gear where the noise was coming from so he called Audi ppl in Lahore.They came after hours in typical nakhra and after scanning the car with the computer,they said nothing was wrong with the car but the car had not moved more than a mile when gear went.
Any way the people in Lahore replaced it but it didn't work(we have programmed brain twice and done many things).We have 2 options.1.buy brand new from Audi in Lahore.The cost is 11lakh and in UK the cost is 6000 pounds.We need some one with knowledge of auto gears who could fix the old one.
So if any one knows someone who can repair auto gear box plz reply with name and contact number any where in Pakistan please.

when to shift to D or R do you feel strong jerk or is there any delay in gear engagement?

mate its cracked from inside gear doesn't go in d anymore.

Consult INH wshop guys at Lahore. I,ve seen a mitsubishi Evo jeep which had its automatic gearbox issue resolved from there.

Caution:: They are gonna charge you alot as well. but iam sure that it would be less than the Audi Lahore's rate

my suggestion is that pls., go to Audi Lahore as if you rebuild gear box outside then you may stop again in the mid night in a jungle, as you have crack so ask for rebuild and ask how much kms it can run after rebuilding and if you love the car go for new one,it is expensive one time but then 7 years no issues, also change gear box oil and filter from audi every 30,000 kms as we have too much stop and go traffic in pakistan not good for auto transmission.

correct me to understand whn you shift car from P to D or R & press throttle it takes a jerk as if parking brake is released?

what is reading on ODO and do i understand correct that you have managed a maintenance schedule and changed fluids & filters in transmission accordingly.

what is current status of car?

torque converter is gone.

driving with broken converter has messed up the gearbox.

go to ebay, search for part. we can get the part here.

brand new is not avaliable, Audi can get you a company rebuilt one.

if UK price is 6000/-GBP, thats very expensive, Buying from Grmany would be cheapest.

Searching, buying a used one from ebay is best option from a salvage cabriolet.

locally repairing in Pk is not a option but is a disaster, It took me a few tries on Toyota to get it going right, Audi is way out of question.

Go to salvage yards and ask , can also try in Dubai scrap yards.

torque converter that's the first thing we tried but didn't work.some mechanic in Lahore change gear as well on his expense bought from Saudi but didn't work .
Only thing is left to do is now rebuild.

For this I need some one who can open the box and put it together with new parts.
Audi said they can get box brand new from Germany but cost will be to UK 5000 pounds. that's lot.

well model my cousin got no one in UK scrap got reason its wasn't successful version according to scrap yard ppl so they say just rebuild it

because when torque converters starts the grinding sound,, its already messing up other parts in gearbox.

after the damage is done, T/C change does not help.

yes the whole thing change is best option, i dont know if yr car has intercooler for transmission, some gearboxes have their own ecu and intercoolers setup.

ppl love audi when its new, butwhn the maintance starts,, oh how they wish they had a toyota

if you can manage fly out to dubai, take along engine & chassis number of the vehicle. Visit Sharjah industrial area between 8am to 12.30pm then 4 pm to 8 pm if not in a day then 2nd day for sure you will be able to locate the whole transmission of some totalled car. The A4 as in picture was a HIT among 'bachelor real estate brokers' in Platinum period of Dubai 2004 to 2007.

cost will be very manageable if you can ask some Khaypia for door to door delivery from DXB to Lahore. Trust me it is available in Yards @ Sharjah

or If you have some friend who can spare a day or a half for you doing the search send him picture with engine & chassis number and you do home work how to get that here.
