Audi-Chennai 'R Drive' Promo

Audi Chennai held an 'R Drive' this weekend to promote sales of the new RS5 and R8 V-10 Spyder in this market and i had the opportunity to test drive both these cars on the East Coast Road. The R8 V-10 Spyder is sweet to drive , responsive and agile, taut and beastly despite the ragtop and it's girth while the RS5 is more of a cruiser on steroids, nice and easy when you want it to be so and a beast if you step on it. The venue was Fisherman's Cove, a beachside resort off the East Coast Road operated by the Taj Group of Hotels.Following is a set of pics highlighting the R8 and RS5 along with some other Audi cars currently sold in this market.

This is the car i drove. The interior of the RS5 is nothing to write home about , typical black Tuetonic handiwork and i forgot to take a pic. I just wasn't inspired, i guess. The exterior is drop dead gorgeous and sexy, imo.

where i would have really liked to drive the AWD RS5 and my last pic before my phonecam battery gave up.i forgot to charge it.

That stretch of beach is beautiful, indeed!. I drove both cars as mentioned in intro. A video of me driving the RS5 on the East Coast Road will be uploaded in my blog entry of this event. Cheers!
