so now i have some restorer of an A35 just like mine

if i would've known abt this car i would have bought it as well

if u want any help feel free to ask it, although i dint restore my car, infact i was lucky to find it origional and i just did the cosmetics

Monocoques are a pain in the *** when it comes to working the underside of the chassis/body. I would highly suggest you to build a Rotisserie. It makes restoration life a hell easier than you would ever imagine.

I had one in Karachi - made out of wood. used it to restore G100 charades and some corollas too.

Makes undercarriage work a breeze.

Yes Mate, this was the same car. My luck the owner was here in Lahore,hence got cracking at the deal without wasting a minute. the car was in Pindi with denter who had already done his bit of "denting".
What garage is this? I have no idea of another car like this. there is one in pristine condition with a fellow Pakwheeler, Wasif.
I hope it can be ready by then, but i doubt it though as I am planning to go into a lot of detail.

Sir lucky you .I was just going to contact the person after the week and the add disappeared but i am happy this Austin got's a new home i might have delayed it's restoration and i welcome you on VCCCP Chapter Lahore https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/cool-classic-cars-latest/160366-vcccp-chapter-lahore-2
would love to see on upcoming events.I think this will be the second Austin A35 properly on Pakwheels first the Wasif shab One's and second will be your's .Right now 2 Austins are on restoration mode.Am quiet surprised that you don't know about that Austin it's pictures were posted on VCCCP page but never mind have a look at it.

Thank you! yes i got on to the add pretty quickly and made the gentleman an offer he could not refuse, and the first thing i asked him was to remove the add as I was sure admirers like yourself will be on to it as well:P.
I am loking forward to being a part of VCCCP and will hopefully add some good restorations, have a Fiat 600 and a Beetle in the pipe line.
Wasif has a very nicely kept car, I am miles away.
The car in the picture is I think a Ford,its the one standing in main market, right? There is an Anglia standing next to it as well. Both can be a good project for someone, as these cars have been standing there for ages. Hope they get salvaged soon.

Excellent project. If my ropey memory serves well, the early A-35 was offered with mechanical brakes following the same principal as in a motorbike. Braking on high speeds could be a nightmare. Came across an A-35 motor complete with Carb and dynamo in Bilal Gunj a few months ago. I am sure it will be there still. Will let you know if I came across other bits languishing around somewhere.
Best of luck with the restro and keep the pictures rolling as frequently as possible

Many Thanks! yes you are spot on the A35 has mechanical brakes in the front and hydraulic in the rear. Clearly not the best option, however Bullmotif does manufacture a disc brake set up which i am planning for my car.
Please do let me know if you have the contact or can place which shop it was, would love to check it out.
A lot of planning is going into this one, the motor and all mechaicals are with the mechanic, he will be striping everything bare. Body is set for denting and will be heading to the shop right after Eid. I plan to have thebody sand blasted inside out and then have primer sprayed. Will leave it like that till the mechanics are done.
have ordered new parts from bullmotiff Uk including all new rubbers, seals, gaskets, front and rear lights, trims and other goodies, so hopefully you will be looking at a brand new vehicle in about six months.

i was the lasiest person to buy stuff for my car

although i need a few rubbers and one wheel cap as well but my laziness is going to end once im visiting UK next time,

i think you should detail as much as possible for ur car as the parts are very cheap for this car in the UK

i knew of a few more and not of this one

a quite similar project car was in karachi as once libra posted it in the VCCP thread, but that also went away ,,,,,,, maybe rescued but no news
MAYBE its the one for sale in red in the classic cars, or atleast was

there is one in BLACK in karachi and in lahore as well but i never got to see the pics of both even, still undiscovered

As far as i Know these cars where very rare here, there were two imported by the gentleman who originally owned the car i have now. He gave one to his brother in law who took it to Karachi and it got burnt in the riots in nineties.

The other one was yours and there was another one in Khi, i think it was the same one you mentioned. Hopefully these cars are getting the homes they truly deserve.

Yes it's near main market you are right they can be a good project specially that anglia it is almost complete .I wish that they found a good new home.
