More updates please?

Well in London at the moment so couldn't update the thread. I am in touch with the workshop though, the work is steadily moving on. Have collected tonnes of stuff here for the Austin and the Fiat as well. Vintage bumper and grill badges being the best of the lot. Will be posting pictures later today.

would love to see on upcoming events.I think this will be the second Austin A35 properly on Pakwheels first the Wasif shab One's and second will be your's .Right now 2 Austins are on restoration mode.Am quiet surprised that you don't know about that Austin it's pictures were posted on VCCCP page but never mind have a look at it.

Thank You! You are right, it does look like a Riley. This car has been standing in its present status as far as I remember. I hope some one has mercy on it and decides to restore it.

Have collected lots of stuff for the Austin here from the Uk. Went to an antique market and got some vintage grill badges which `i am particularly proud of. Will be posting pictures soon.

Back from a great trip to London. Amazing weather and great small markets to look for vintage car parts.

Went to the denters shop today, even though he would send me pictures everyday, I had my doubts over the progress, was pleasantly surprised on the contrary. He had managed to pull through a lot of work. The floors have been redone and the side bottom panels are under his hammer and blow torch. Fenders have been taken off and the insides are being hammered.

Will be removing the axles and suspension tomorrow for the rest of the work to be completed from the lower side.

Got the original manual along with the car, however, the pages were all eaten up by termites and not much was left. I just had to get it restored. So sent it to the best binder and got it all binded in leather and had butter paper attached to the original paper to avoid further deterioration.

Work on The Austin is progressing at a good pace. The underside is almost complete. In the mean while I decided to get the Speedometer fixed and restored. The meter is generally in a good condition. Its made by Smiths and the quality is evident in the fact that it was still working after being in use for more then half a century.

The front glass is broken and can be replaced easily. Back side is all rusted so that need to be cleaned. Handed it over to the electrician to get the instruments serviced. Hopefully it will be as good as new. The only part that worries me is the chrome trim. its all dented and wont look good even if repaired. Any ideas from you guys would be a great help.

Went to the denters today. A lot of work has been done, was not expecting it to turn out so nice. Must say this guy has done his job with a lot of passion and hard work, a trait not very common with panel beaters.

The lower panels and the fender undersides have all been finished. The boot floor is being worked upon at the moment. Floors are all done and a new fuel tank is being fabricated. A few pictures:

So its taking a while but the work is going on great. I have told my Denter to take as much time as he wants and progress patiently rather than muck it up. My biggest fear was the right hand rear fender as it was badly rusted and the owner before me had already tried to "fix" it. I had it removed and new one was fabricated. Astonished to see the result I was.

Been away for a while, but the work has been carrying on nicely. The floors are FINALLY complete and the rusted piece of metal I bought has started to look like a car. Once again I must appreciate Amir`s (my denter) work here. He has done a great job on the fabrications.

Eid has finally ended and people are coming back to work. The body is very near to completion and is now in the process of getting primer-ed for rust prevention. once the body is complete will be working on fitting the engine and then will send it to the paint shop.
