Authority letter to receive delivery of vehicle

Hi all, I hope someone can help me regarding this.

I am yet to receive my KIA Picanto which has a tentative delivery date of Feb 2022 but has been severely delayed. The car was booked in my father's name and he is leaving the country tomorrow and will not return for about 2 months. In case the vehicle delivery is due while he is away, he asked the dealership if I (his son) can received the car on his behalf and they said no.

Is there any work around? Perhaps an authority letter?

Yes, you can receive delivery of a vehicle on someone's behalf by using an authority letter. It can be made on a stamp paper. It is basically an affidavit that states that the concerned person allows another person to take possession of the vehicle on their behalf. You would also need copies of your CNIC along with it.
