I have been thinking on how to make a car auto air freshener which could last long for 2 to 3 months and it should only work when the car switch is on
Last time I bought this and I installed it as directed on the AC grill
It was summer and due to heat it dint last for even 15 days
So I have been thinking and working on it and now its winter and the car cabin gets more creepy smell due to moist and also when the heater is turned on
Following is the DIY for Automatic Car Air Freshener
Main idea of this is to utilize the air freshener only when a person is sitting in the car
I use my car for an average of 2 to 3 hours per day so the air freshener should work for only 3 hours
while the car is parked outside and the car cabin heats up due to direct sunlight the air freshener dry out
Im using a 555 timer to set the OFF time and the ON time for the air freshener
for e.g once the car switch is turned ON the circuit will start working, first 10 minutes it will remain off then it will be ON for 40 seconds, so the timer will continue with the sequence 10min OFF and 40sec ON. It will work almost like an auto air freshener dispenser. Moreover the OFF time and the ON time can easily be increased of decreased as per ones requirement
