caliper rebuild kits are still sold - and toyota calipers are very easy to rebuild - Do not trust scrapped parts blindly.
Yes Sir I learned a lesson after driving my car with jammed wheel
This part fails when your average naswaar or gutka chewing moron uses chassis grease to lube the two pins and boots.
It takes silicone grease only.
Hmm actually I always prefer for OEM parts but here in DG Khan neither parts are available nor mechanic is willing to use OEM part.
These ustads have never even heard about Silicone grease.
Apart from this topic , how many days does a V-belt have to change?@Xulfiqar @def3nder
but you have..
thats all that counts.
Update!!! Today I went to another electrician in DG.Khan (the most reputed one) . He disconnected two connectors from transmission and checked them for continuity using multimeter then disconnected all connectors from ECU and again checked continuity and then said its perfectly alright, there is issue in Solenoid Valve and advised to go to Multan because there is no parts availability in D.G Khan. But I still believe that real culprit is wire harness because code comes right after clearing. Experts please advice @humayun.chughtai.7 @Xulfiqar @capsat @xenerking P.S I am not satisfied with his way of checking continuity the manual says check Resistance between connector and body ground it should be in range of 8-15 Ohms also repeat this procedure for ECU connectors.
[]() yourself and then proceed to nearest metro city for getting issue fixed with part replacement
How to test wiring?? I mean should I test resistance or voltage ??
resistance & voltage both-resistance will determine connectivity between 2 endsvoltage pulse over ECU pins will determine signal presence
if he has checked the connections using a multi meter then i think the wiring harness shud be fine, all it needs is electrical pulse to activate or deactivate solenoid.....u shud start thinking about other options as well..
You may also check the resistance of solonoid coil
But you have to find a reference resistance of that solonoid to compare your readings
Talking about this last image If solonoid is bad then I think it will also cause check engine light immediately after clearing
No CEL just code on searching and TCC not engages.
Update!!! Today I visited Electrician and he thoroughly checked wiring harness from ECU to Transmission Connector, its OK now transmission wire and solenoid has to be checked tomorrow but before that I want some help from experts1) is there any specific method to remove and install back valve body properly and does it require precise torque for bolts tightening as mechanics have no torque wrench @Xulfiqar please guide
