I have an Query regarding Automatic Transmission Oil as i ve bought Vitz and i needed to change the Gear Oil ..
1.. Which Oil should i go for
2.. Should i change the oil and drained out previous one

I have a coure 05 auto . How can i check the transmission oil level ?? what type of oil to use?? My problem is that whenever i put my car in D mode the car does not move forward . It happens for few seconds and then the car is back to normal.

Guys i also need help. I have a 2010 altis cruisetronic (8 months old) and it has done 21,000km. I wanted to ask if I need to change the ATF. I know i should consult the manual and toyota dealeship but still wanted the opinions of experts here. When would be the ideal time for changing the ATF of my car?

There is a dipstick on the transmission to check fluid level, do it with the engine started and shift from P to L and then back to P, check fluid level - it should be at the marks hot or cold depending on the transmission temperature.

If your transmission is slowly engaging D - you have a stuck piston on the first clutch or your valve body is starting to jam up with dirt or transmission pieces. If your transmission has forgot to engage R - you have a swollen plastic reverse piston - need to remove tranny from car to rebuild - This is very typical in cuore Automatic

20-30K kms are decent, depending on oil used, driving technique and envoirnment.

ZIC & Total Dexron III are good.

Yep, the problem occurs when engaging in D and not R.. That means this problem is independent of the ATF?? i mean to say that after changing ATF i have to get it check from a mechanic?
Also suggest me any ATF which to use in my cuore??

i have vitz 2003 Automatic, i need Automatic Transmission oil replace. i have type 4 AT42 Total oil. but i don't know how much liters input in gear box. can any expert tell me. kitny liters aayen gy?

fluid change takes about 3.8 litres - rebuild takes 6 litres.

check fluid level first - if low add fluid - you need dx2-d emarat sell this grade in 4 gallon jugs, you can also pour dx3 - zic, caltex etc.

Please tell fuel per litre petrol of automatic chore 850 cc and amount of atf ' my mechanic drained one litre and put one litre .car vibrates when put to

I have a coure 06 auto...... My problem is that whenever i put my car in D mode the car after sometime car does not move forward . Then i switched off my car for some seconds then start my car again and drive on mode D then again after 1 km it stopped and car does not move forward or reverse....Please help me with some good suggestion....mechanic told me the gearbox need to be replace....
