I will be buying it this weekend. I am going for a top-load (budget constraints) and will be going for samsung 9kg. Any idea what is difference between these two models WA90F5S2UWW and WA90J5710SG?

And i want to go for a machine which is pump-drained so how can i make sure if these models are pump drained? The user manual says drain procedure for both pump-drained and general type but does not indicate which model exactly is pump drained

I plan to buy it from al-fatah, good? or shall i go to samsung official outlet in Lahore? (i don't know where their outlet is)

bought 8 kg LG Inverter front load for 71 K, under LG Official warranty from LG Brand Shop, Chandni Chowk, sufficient space to handle normal wash load of 5 person twice a week, plus can handle bed sheets etc. Prices is on hike due to dollar rate surge.LG and all other machine i.e. samsung and kenwook are china assembled. Next level is Bosch and Siemens, made by same origin in Turkey, but way expensive with better quality. Siemens is soon to be replaced by Bosch.However value for money is good for LG, as its also regarded as workhorse. Backup for LG is officially provided by LG Company, and both distributors in Pak works on their behalf, so no risk of elimination of service backup if these distributors disappear, as Company directly handle services centres through franchise.

Frontoad machine is way better than top load because front load is latest tech.
I am using dawlance top load tangle free 10 kg automatic washing machine which cost me 38k but believe me it is waste of money as top load machine needs more detergent and water for cleaning. Secondly cleaning is not up to the mark as it doesn't clean shirt collars properly and my mother clean collars again with her desi style using brush. Now she insisted me on daily basis that is ko pack kr k rakh do me nahi dhony is me kapry.
I will not recommend topload to anyone always buy frond load machine if u want ease in ur life.

I have a samsung topload, it uses total of around 300L at max water level (wash + rinse). No issues with cleaning, one load takes 3-4 teaspoons of detergent. If your cloths are really dirty, then yes you have to manually do some cleaning but in our cases, we never needed it. I am quite certain that front load wont clean such dirty cloths either.

Power ratings are less than 300watt

Another advantage is that you can intervene any time e.g. to add more cloths or detergent etc. In case of frontload, once its locked, you cannot add more cloths. Front load also gives you backaches so its not that easy on you

Few months ago i was confused between front and top load, now i am happy with my decision. It is less costly, more flexible and easy on cloths too. I have washed my cloths in a front loader made by C D I, it used to tangle the cloths very much

from my research and now experience, let me just add that front load work on removal of dirt from cloths through gravity means the cloths goes and drop down in the drum when it spins which cleans cloths better. On the contrary top load works through swirl, where cloths are made to move in circular direction and is resisted with agilitator, which rub cloths and may damage them. Moreover, washing needs more water, as cloths are to be dipped in top load, as compared to front load where water is only needed to mix the detergent for crossing through the cloth threadbare, or rinsing.
In nutshell, front load due to washing technique wash better and consumes less water.

The newer front load washing machines have the option to stop and add more items in the middle of wash cycle.
Our front load has this option and I am guessing all brands like Samsung, Siemens etc might as well have it.

Today I sold my Dawlance topload machine to our neighbours. I think local manufacturers are better in terms of after sale service and parts availability as I live in Gujrat and now I confused after ur reply either stick to topload or go for frond load secondly budget is another issue for frontload. What model of samsung u are using? More suggestions will be really appreciated

i am using samsung wa90f5s2. this model comes with a drain pump, there is another which is without pump.

I will try to highlight some points that i was considering while buying machine:

• Water: yes front load uses less water.

• Electricity: Not sure of electricity consumption but you should see the sticker for both top and front load and compare how much is the difference. Keep in mind that cloths are washed once a week and my machine wash cycle is at 6mins, spin cycle is 4mins so it uses less than 300watts for barely 15mins in one complete wash + rinse + spin cycle. The rest is water filling time. That comes down to 1 unit per month of electricity, not much eh? If your family is big, make it 4 units? that is still just 60rs per month.

• easy on cloths? At least the CDI front load i used tangled cloths a a lot!

• Flexibility: Not all front loads have mechanism to add cloths while a cycle has started so confirm that before buying.

• Washing: In terms of washing, i never had a problem. Yes cloths of little kids are really dirty but i dont think front load will clean em properly either.

• Easy on you? imminent back pain problems due constant bending while feeding and taking out cloths, especially for women as ladies are prone to back pain problems.

• Cost: Final point, front loads are almost double the cost of top-load. So in my opinion, its not worth the bucks. One more thing, whatever type you buy, don't go for a small machine. its a one time purchase so buy at least 9kg.

As a member pointed out Front load machines clean by using gravity mostly
While top load spins and agitate to remove dirt.
Therefore front loads are easy on cloths. Tangled or not doesnt matter.

Also front loads are better at cleaning and more efficient. I am using one and it cleans all kinds of dirt from dirty shirt collars to soiled child cloths. Just need to select the Right Operation Mode which most of users arnt aware of.

For example: for cleaning very dirty shirt collars I select water temperature at 60 degrees and ecobubble mode on my samsung machine and the collars come out amazingly clean without the need of rubbing with brush which damages the fabric.

Similarly for very dirty baby cloths select mode with water temperature at 90 degrees celcius.

If by heater you mean whether it heats water then Yes. It heats water upto 90 degree celcius which is ideal for cleaning heavily soiled clothes.
For example clothes soiled with grease, tea etc.

Maximum wattage i guess is 1800-2000w.
