Automatic Washing Machine...Help Required!

So there are official outlets of both samsung and siemens. I am confused which brand to go for, and even more confused whether to go for top load or front load. I can stretch my budget for a front load if it really is worth the money (i.e twice as expensive as top load). I want something which we can use ourselves without needing to hire a maid so washing has to be effortless

We have been using Dawlance DWF-1600A Top Load Fully Automatic Washing Machine for the past couple of years and it is amazing. It has a spinner as well...Dawlance has an established pedigree when it comes to autowashers. The price of this particular piece is 33000 Rs and size is 9 kg. Very satisfied customer ...I use it personally ...just put in the clothes... the machine tells you how much powder you need...press start and come back after 45 mins...ofcourse you can go for custom course as well you know opting for 3 or 5 maybe 9 times wash or 4 times spin... its a good machine and has not given us any problem in 2 years...

Don't compare horses with donkeys. Siemens and Bosch are a class apart. I have experience of using Bosch and Samsung front load. Samsung and LG may be very techno and smart but once it comes to work horse, german brands are a class apart. I recommend Siemens front load if you are comparing it with Samsung front load.

Go for front load if yoy want to get rid of massi for kapre sukhane ke laye dal aao. Just few hangers would suffice for drying inside if you don't intend buying a dryer.

Get a front load it washes better and as said by a member above, germans are best.

but top load also dries to an extent that you hang em outside fro sometime. Or does the front load dry cloths better? I won't be going for a machine which has heater for dryer.

NO machine completely dries, you have to hang clothes for a while.

yes i am aware of it and no issues with it. Point is that is front load worth the extra money? Which is approx twice

Top loaders clean better and generally have more spin speeds to dry the clothes better than front load.
Budget is an important consideration. Not only once purchasing washer but consumables like detergent and fabric conditioner etc would be regular burden as you got to be careful since only front load machine detergent can be used. I find it cheaper than than top load detergent as quantity required is less. Availability can be an issue. Installation has to be done by a qualified person, diy may not be a good idea. The front-load clean better and spin faster...energy efficient as compare to topload...use less water and Detergent....it was mentioned by a user of front load and several Dealers

...samsung is very good brand but haier and Dawlence are not bad too..in my personal experince Haier is energy efficient too

Machines with dryer option completely dry the clothes.
Others have spin option which needs clothes to be hanged for a while.

you have to hang the clothes for some time to eliminate
moisture through the air... if u dry the clothes using tumbler it may cause clothes to shrink or become less soft

We use regular Ariel powder sachets in our Samsung front load, excellent cleaning, no complaints since 2.5 years.

One 20 rupee sachet of Ariel is enough for one wash with load of 6-7 shirts/tshirts, 2 jeans, socks and undergarments.

It spins at 1200rpms with full load, which is pretty fast.

We installed ours in kitchen ourselves. The so called 'balance' problem is very easy to do as the feet are adjustable. If the water, drainage and electricity connections have been done anybody can install it.

Hmmm. Have used it. Clothes were ready to wear. Not sure of the moisture content.

errr! you said topload cleans better and have more spin speed whereas what i have read is the other way around... The article also says the same about frontload. I think you meant front load cleans better. Also i frontload uses less detergent, not top load correct?

I have budget of 80k so i think i will go for a siemens 8kg front load. I hope i can buy one in 80k

@selman as you are working on the topic for a while, can you explain what is the effect of these difference in processes, and finally which machine you think is good to go for a family of 4 to 5 like brand ? Heir/.... ? front/top-load ? Kg, ?model.

sir i didn't use front load machine...i met with a few dealers and the users of the front load machine..According to them The front-load clean better and spin faster...energy efficient as
compare to top load...use less water and Detergent but its expensive....i think u ll find a good front load machine in 70 thousand rupees or more
As per my experience top load machine is good...washing quality satisfactory, energy consumption is normal, so far i haven't faced any issue or problem...if u are 5 family members(adults+kids) u should go for 11 or 12 kg machine....haier is a good and economical brand... i had bought Haier hwm 85-7288(8.5kg) and the price was 28500 plus free delivery...
So if u can afford go for front load...if u have the budget till 50k go for samsung or kenwood and if u have 35k to 40k Haier is the best...
