Sir sorry to bother you again,last question I live in lhr and had buget for 1.3 auto .but is it worth the extra money I mean resale value and all.if thats the case I will go for 1.6 . Resale value is important for me . Ive read all your thread and im all in for 1.6.kindly guide.me.ty

1.6 has got a pretty decent resale. Don't go for 1.3 AT. Above all things you will love the dual vvti powerful engine.

After reading all the threads and I am now confused as you see your Altis 1.6 too. So basically should I go for it or should I add 60-70K and go for the basic version of Grande 1.8, consider it mind I am thinking about resale too.

What should I opt, a GLI or ALTIS 1.6 or `1.8 M/T basic model Grande. I am confused in all three and which should I opt too. Kindly help me out. Very grateful to you.

Usman bhai the thing is that 1.3 Gli has the highest resale so far. When I selected Altis 1.6 over it I was also worried about the resale as Altis never had good resale in the past, but I got an immense response for 1.6 and it sold quickly at good price. I have observed that among all variants Altis 1.6 has now the highest demand and delivery time is now Dec/Jan for it while Gli and all other variants are available in Oct.

I wanted an auto, but Gli auto was a bit sluggish and poor fuel economy. I had slightly more budget so I moved up to Altis 1.6 and it had auto transmission, alloy rims, lcd with rear view camera and a dual vvti more powerful, advance and economical engine.

Now Alhamdolillah I have moved to Grande. Had been thinking to repurchase 1.6 which now comes with immobiliser and keyless entry, but further stretched my budget and got Grande because there have always been a feeling to go for the top of the line variant, so that one should not later desire yaar 1.8 lay laita, CVTi has good fuel economy, manual has six gears, there is sunroof, reclining seats, dual air bags, climate control, better instrument cluster, better interior etc.

So it depends on your budget. I am not sure about Grande or 1.8 variants resale, but I am going for it for enjoying the goodies IMC has just added.

I currently am a Mehran Owner and thinking to opt on Altis 1.6 rather than to go to Grande 1.8 (due to Budget constraints ), because all the features you mentioned started on Grande which costs more than 2.2 millions and right now I stretched to 2 million max.
BTW I do bug you further for what needs to be checked after car delivery. Insurance detail (their rates), how to make car secure (additional locks), using of navigation system. I heard you have a way to sync maps and you share it with others, please share it with me as well (musmanmalik84@gmail.com).
I called Toyota Ravi Lahore today and they said if you can wait for next 15-20 days and then book the car, you can get the 2017 model instead. Also they told me that car registration needs to be done by dealer and not by yourself. (Is this true?)

I am glad that I was of any help. Great choice 1.6 is also very fun to drive and great car to own. You are welcome to ask as many questions as you want or need any info.

Now you do not need additional locks as all Corollas except xli are equipped with immobiliser and insurance is good to cover you for accidental damage or snatching at gunpoint. Insurance rates vary between 2.5 to 3.9 percent and depend upon how hard you bargain and pitch different companies against each other by getting quotes from different insurance companies over phone or by mail. I got a very special rate of 1.9 percent while I was offered 2.7 percent rate by Askari and 4 percent by TPL tracker and 2.5 by NJI. I also refused to put tracker in my 1.6.

Yes heard Punjab govt has made rules that dealers would do the registration for customers. Get maximum discount from dealer on their fees.

Before banks used to pay the car price minus sales tax now Imc has suddenly changed its policy and banks have to pay full 100 percent car price at the time of booking.. Due to this issue I am not able to book altis 1.6 for 2 weeks now.. And there is no sign of when the issue will be resolved. Meanwhile I was getting November delivery from Toyota airport cause of this issue that opportunity has sailed past

I have not heard about bank to IMC issue. I called Toyota Ravi yesterday and they told me the same 500K for the first time and rest one month before the delivery. I told them that i want the invoice date of 2017 and they told me to book on and after 15 September and by doing so car will be delivered in January.

You can add fog lights, I do not think if installed correctly they would have any negative impact on the car. Drive your car for some months and see if everything is working fine then install fog lights because if there is some faulty electric part of sensor it would go bad in firs couple of months, otherwise nothing happens to a new car usually.

Depends on the dealerships, if you get them installed from them they charge twice the market price, but would not void warranty.

Don't know about the keys coming with current deliveries. Ask someone who recently got 1.6

Warranty issue depends, if the lights were installed by splicing electric cabling which is how every chotu and ustad do the job. This will definitely void warranty and even induce chances of short circuit. A friend had an engine burn due to chotu's bad wiring job.

Alternatively, new electrical wires are installed and fused to retain warranty, but chotu does not like to work too hard.

Installed fog lights outside dealership and even claimed the infotainment unit under warranty as well, so I don't think it voids warranty...

P.S: installing fog lights didn't malfunction the infotainment unit

Depends. Company installs genuine koito foglights while aftermarkets one are cheap dlaa fog lights so that makes a lot of difference.
Also, wiring of dlaa isn't that good as compare to koito ones.
