I am using JDM and soon my altis 1.6 will be delivered(since they promise me to deliver it in April)
In my JDM gear are D S B so what means 3 2 L

Also one question during drive can we shift to d to 3 or vice versa

D is drive just leave it in to drive, others are for going down or up hills, like manual gear 2

Not yet as it is in already my preferred position. I usually tilt steering when fatigue starts setting in. It is both tilt and telescope adjustable.

Thanks a lot for the detailed reply. The back view camera's result is a bit blur. Why is it so? Also, did you get the ECU covered with black cover?

ECU not covered yet and I am not going to spray wash it like my 9th Gen Corolla. I will be using engine degreasers mainly to keep it clean.

What about fuel ? mixing HOBC or only super ? what is recommended ?
Also i suggest u do some insurance of car ! And on putting lock on steering cross .... Good ! i do it with new Gli, its best, just have to be careful when its on

Thank you so much. Initial fuel consumption figures are encouraging, it has moved from 9.7 to 11.1 kms per liter. I am using regular fuel and there is no knocking etc.

The car was insured first and then taken out of showroom.

I tried to locate the steering cross, but it seems it is behind the plastic cover of the dash underside. Can you please guide me how do you do it. I used padlock in steering cross of 9th Gen Corolla and it was so easy to do it and I had peace of mind that at least it will give some time to the culprits. I really do need your help on this.

• Registration Cost breakdown is as under:

Application form: 10/-
Registration Fee: 35,440/- (2% of invoice price)
Change of address: 100/- (If you give an address other than the one mentioned on Invoice)
Token: 384/-
Income Tax: 4000/- (for 1299cc, non filer)
Scanning Fee: 550/-
Number Plates: 900/-

Total: Rs. 41,384/-

The number plates will be issued to me after 10 days, so can't comment on their quality. I have made my own number plates from Sticker Loverz on the standard format but far better quality. They are made up of fluorescent material and hence glows when exposed to light.

It is not registered yet because there was long weekend and today I went to ETO office and their system had crashed and there was no electricity as well. Just spent two hours in a queue after filling the initial form. Will go tomorrow. I will do it myself. You can ask for the number of your choice. For two digit the fee is 8,000 and so on more and more for combinations, twins, triplets. But they give ordinary 3 digit number for free if available or they will ask you to wait for the next series.

@ Masroor bhai .... yes, its behind that plastic cross cover under dash, it has some 2/3 clips, gently pull it off and u will see the cross ..... its some what more tilted in this gen corolla and more precisely oriented in comparison to previous gen corolla. so at straight steering position u can put lock in it (as per GLI, not sure about Altis). I will post snap in evening inn sha Allah !

Yes True. In 2013 I went to register a car and I wanted the same three digit number on another car in the house. They told me that it is not available in current ongoing series and issued me my desired number in advanced from upcoming series. At that time YB was being issued and they gave me a number from YJ at no extra cost.

F will be the last series. They have already done with J. Actually they started with H series for private and G series for govt in 2003-04
