Average mileage of Honda city 2019

Dear members

I have got brand honda city 2019 from office this month . Car is good however the mileage per litre is 6.5 km per litre . I think the fuel consumption is on a very high side .
Honda dealer has asked me to bring the car for service after 1000 km . will the mileage improve after certain period of time or after tuning of the car ?

what is the average mileage of new honda city . kindly share you experience

after 5000km it will improve

average mileage is 13 to 14km/l manual 1.3 in city

Don’t give any money there, go for routine inspections only
Average improves after 5000 km n more accurate average after 10,000 km

It happened to me too. Firstly reset your trip meter and then drive the car.

Secondly if it's a PT 1.3 then max average you'll get is 9-10km/l even after 100k kms.
If its MT 1.3 then you'll hit 15 easily.

I have city 2019 MT and it has the same problem giving only 8.4km per litre and it has already done 12000kms.. what can be done to improve its mileage

Brother i am using only high octane in it had it checked from honda they told me iski avg itni hee hotee hai.. i told them this model when it came out was famous for its mileage.. tuo jawaab yeh mila woh purani thee yeh nayee hai.. i said it has the same engine .. car is the same beside few aesthetical changes..

Check your air filter and change your gas station. No need to use hi octane. Most of us are getting 12 in city and 15 on highway.

Mine was giving 9 km/l in city. It imporved after I took a long Highway trip for around 300kms, after that it started giving 11 km/l even in city driving. But after using it in city for couple of months it again dropped to 9.5km/l

These are the computer genrated readings, not calculated manualy by me.

I guess the ECU adapt to the driving conditions and accordingly leanr and unlearn the fuel/air mixture composition.

By the way mine is 1.3 Prosmatic

My 2017 Honda City 1.3 manual gives 11-12 in city with full time AC and on long may be 15-16 km/l with AC.

I think max you could get 10km/l for 1.3 prosmatic. You should reset the trip meter with your next refill to get current avg as ecu calculated avg is with trip meter.

Mine 1.5 MT gives me 11-13 with ac in city and 16 on highway with ac.
I get max mileage when the air filter is clean and fresh i.e. upto 5000km after that it starts decreasing towards 11.

Same with 1.3 it also gives more or less same average.

I'm getting 400km/30 litres. Making it approximately 13.5 km/l with ac in lahore.
Without AC and on soft paddle, it easily hits 15-16.
But its really shit on ac.

I have done it manually as well after refilling the tank i divided the kms on the meter with the amount of fuel put in the car still not even 8.2km per litre, it came back from honda last week with new filters snd oil still same problem persists.. should i change the spark plugs and see if it makes any difference

No. Do not change spark plugs or anything. City 1.3 PT will never exceed 9.0 km/l.
Whereas 1.5 PT hits 13km/l easily.

Next time when you visit honda dealership, do concern with the people who have same varient (People with PT 1.3 who'll come to change oil etc just like you) and then you'll get to know the fact.
1.3 PT is a fuel guzzler.

I have 2017 city 1.3 MT and its average is 11 in city with ac. The car is fully Honda service center maintained and I even didn't go above 100 and always changes gears in between 2-3 rpm but still it stays around 11 at max
