Ok guys a small update. I went in for another tuning the other day. Now the car is doing 14km/KG so it's a small improvement over the 12.5km that i was getting before.

i have vti pros 02 n with 55kg tank maximum mileage i can get is 180km with 20 kms on reserve light while travelling at 100kmph on mway with 100% AC.
in pindi/isl i get about 110 km before the reserve light turns on. nowadays its giving me 130km per cylinder with AC 50% on before reserve lights turns on. (n m thinking maybe petrol is getting injected too along with CNG, but i hope its not the case). in lahore avg is 90km per cylinder before i can consume the reserve.

I have always felt that there is a quality difference in the CNG available in Islamabad vs the rest of the country. Islamabad/Rawalpindi CNG is of higher quality and results in better pick-up and mileage. The reason is probably that the gas fields in the Potowar region have very high heating value gas (over 1000 BTU/mcf and in some cases its even 1400+) whereas Sindh and South Punjab would have a tough time maintaining the standard 900 BTU/mmcfd. Also the CNG quality varies from station to station so generalised numbers can be misleading.

For the record here are the broad consumption numbers in cars I have owned/driven on Rawalpindi/Islamabad city driving with a full 55kg tank down to empty :

Toyota Corolla 2007 1.8 Auto- 120 to 130 kms.
Toyota Corolla 2003 1.6 Auto - 125 to 135 kms.
Toyota Corolla 2005 1.6 Man - 130 to 140 kms.
Mitsubishi Lancer 2007 1.3 Man - 140 to 150kms.

I am getting 16-17kms per kg from 97 Civic VTi.
To make it simple, I get around 180+ with 60Kg cylinder in city.
Also on motorway I once got 270Kms from full cylinder with 100Km/h speed....

After tuning i'm getting 15km/kg, so it's a lot better than what i was getting before. I think if i went for smaller wheels i would probably get even better mileage but i'm happy with it for now.

15" with 195/60 Dunlops. With these tyres the difference in reading will be approx. 3% so when i am going 100km/h then the actual speed will be 103km/h. 195/55 is the ideal size but i think they look smaller.

thats one record breaking hell of milleage.......
