Average Petrol Consumption-Honda Civic 1.8 and CNG

I have purchased, Alhamdulillah, the new Honda Civic 1.8 (Automatic). I just wanted to know what is the average per liter consumption for this car?

And also if anyone had experienced using CNG with this car?

Congrats on your new purchase.

My 1.8 VTi Prosmatec has been giving me 10-11 km/l with AC. Most of my traveling is on the Islamabad highway.

Don't have CNG so cannot comment there.

Thanks for the input. I have heard that it gives you 18-22km? Does it sound right under any circumstances?

18-22 on petrol? No chance, IMHO. I previously had a Civic Exi Prosmatec (1500 cc) and a City EXiS Automatic (1300 cc). Neither gave me any better than 12 km/l. So I don't think any car will give you 18-22. At least not in the 1000 cc and above category.

maximum it will give u around 12km/liter thats with vry nice driving

and my uncle has this car...and it wont give more then 100 km in a full cyl

my civic 1.8 on cng fills for about Rs 370-390 and usually gives me 100-120 km without a/c and 70-80 km with ac in city

Is it Auto or Manual? And are you facing any issues with CNG? Like pickup, knocking etc?

my 1.8 oriel manual gives 115-120 km on full cylinder without AC on lahore road and gear change at max 3000 rpm, speed under 70
my 55 cylinder full in 320/-
i also run my car 10-15 km on petrol after 200 km on cng

Many friends have converted their 1.8 prosmatecs to CNG and the consumption varies b/w 70-110km on a 55l refill with the lower range for prosmatec n higher for manual. Though ppl are getting 90-100 on a prosmatec as well but then i attribute the mileage to a strange phenomenon..like u get the same kit with same config installed on two truly identical cars yet u dont get the same mileage!

Petrol consumption on prosmatec is 10km a ltr on average.. with a max of 14km on M2 n min of 8km a litre! Saqib bhai has also had official prosmatec on petrol for a year before camry so i have quite a precise idea of mileage!

Go for Landirenzo with emulator/ advancer after u ve done 5000km on it!

The reason for switching to petrol for few kms once a refill is to compensate for the "dry" effect of gas on the valves etc. Some technical guy can shed more light on this.

If you have automatic switch (or EFI switch) wont it start the car on petrol and then automatically convert to CNG? do you still need to run the car on petrol to cater that dry effect?
