'B' Is Not For Boost : Understanding CVT Transmission

Hello everyone,
I have Toyota Yaris 2021 Ativ X 9000km driven. I am feeling that in the morning when I start the car for the first time and try to shift the gear to D, it is very hard. It takes quiet an effort to move it. After driving for sometime than it gets soft. Its happened for the first time. Since Toyota was closed due to Eid holidays so I showed it to a local workshop. The mechanic told me that there might be a problem with the the break switch. I didn't agree as if the problem with the gear switch would be there than the gear should have been hard only while moving from P to R whereas it's hard on all the gears. Any suggestions or if anyone has experienced the same.

The brake pedal switch does have input to the engine ecu and will do funny things if its messed up,

Cvt vehicles also rely on the accelerometer in the airbag ecu to determine how quick the car is accelerating or is climbing or descending a gradient.

Proceed to a good mechanic and have it sorted out, dont try to guess it.
