B1239 An Open or Short in the Mode Control Motor Circuit

Indicator, seat belt & reverse gear beep sound sometimes stop working in my car and sometimes its normal.

Also idle stop not working since 3-4 weeks. Initially I thought it was due to hot weather and full AC but recently checked it without AC and still car didn't idle.

So I took car to scanner and it showed error code B1239 An Open or Short in the Mode Control Motor Circuit.

There was another error code for traction/abs and it was cleared/reset as it was due to some axle work done.

For beep noise the scanner guy said its not related to the error as there might be rust or malfunction speaker inside the odo panel.

There are no issues with drive or fuel consumption. Its the same as before. No engine wash or anything. I got the engine and filters cleaned via air today as well. Also had oil change done last week.

Any suggestions? I searched b1239 on PW but no luck.

I have done that couple of times in last couple of weeks (to get mosquitoes out).

It works fine for both sides. Whats the link?

Will check tomorrow. Btw error didn't show in climate control section. It was showing it electrical related section, dont remember title.

Another seemingly unrelated thing happened. Mobile charger in car was not working properly for past few days. Charging light was not coming on cell phone.

So today, I replaced with a different charger and it worked fine. To further diagnose, I used the old charger with new cable and it worked fine too.

Conclusion the charging cable was probably short. Not sure but could this be the reason for error?

Is there any good electrician in Karachi who can inspect whether following are related or just conincidently not working.

1. Indicator/reverse/seatbelt buzzer not working.
2. idle stop not working.
3. B1239 error code.
