**Babusar top,Lalusar lake, Rama Lake, Astore, Gilgit on Suzuki Van (30 years old)**

Nothing to confuse dear .... F10 is very old, common and famous suzuki engine (designed almost 28 years ago) but still in use in pakistan in many suzuki application , however in pakistan suzuki van is equiped with F8 carby engine, BUt Some time ago the japanese vans were equiped with F-10 engine.. i hope it will help.:)...and mind it Suzuki F-10 engine, Tranny and compatable diffrential are bolt on in any suzuki ST-30(manufacturers code for this shape). But to handle this engine one have to upgrade Brakes to Disc one,

You can find this engine in rawalpindi and lahore.
its orignal 5 forward transmission is used and u can also opt orignal F8 engine transmission if you do not want to go for cable shifter.
The cost is much high now a days , engine 60K+Transmission (good condition) , rear diffrential will cost you around 15K (if you lucky to find it but you can also use your previous as its ratio is also 5.15)
and not much alteration is required .
in which model you want to fit that engine?

I have lancer 1.6 with perfect engine and suspension and planning to take this trip except that instead of astore i want to go fairy meadows (with family) .. please advice :

.. can i take the route of naran to chalas on my car (considering the road conditions)
.. what are the security conditions
.. how much time will it take (from naran to chilas only)

.. can i take the route of naran to chalas on my car (considering the road conditions)
.. what are the security conditions
.. how much time will it take (from naran to chilas only)

**You can go In your Lancer but as lancer have low ground clearance so i will highly recomend you to go via KKH .
but if you really interested to go via naran then leave naran early as much as possible as the water level in diffrent crossings starts increasing after mid day.*
no security concerns as i have again visited the area last month (but if you are with your family avoid costly cell phones,jewelery with you on the trip)
*From naran to chilas if you do not stop at Lulusar lake and babusar top then on your car it will take around 8 to 9 hours.
