**Babusar top,Lalusar lake, Rama Lake, Astore, Gilgit on Suzuki Van (30 years old)**

We have done Naran in 1993 with two suzuki Van. Infact my first trip to these areas. At that time, reaching naran on Vans is a achievement. My cousins still have this blue Suzuki VAN.

could u please add pictures of your tour 1993 . we all want to see the road and naran city in 93. At that time one have to park its conveyance at balakot and have to hire a jeep to visit naran and surrounding areas.
If some one may create a new thread on Oldies .

I also visited Naran in April 1993; in fact my first independant trip with friends towards North; I slipped my finger out from my dad's hand:). Though it was a narrow road between Balkot/Kaghan, still jeeps were used. Beyond Kaghan, it was just a dust track.

As MultaniTravel has generously agreed to share his own thread, lets keep the momentum of the original thread and enjoy the sprints of carry dabba!

DAY 2:-
As our main target was babusar top se we take good rest at Naran and left naran on the 2nd day early morning. the track till JHALKHAD is out of this world and the beauty is undescribable. Done break fast at burawaii. A very delicious break fast while sitting in sun ....

Yes you can get these device from SBI intrnational and east west infinty, both have offices in Lahore also try to send there addrsses if Pak wheel Admin does not mind for it

The Famous Babusar Top. I can't understand the shape of the rocks and the small stones. Is anybody has information about this???

Hi guys
This year we have planned to test our very old machine i.e 30 years old Suzuki Van. but this machine performed so well and never let us down any where. Climbing on Babusar was really a fun because at lalosar lake we have to accompany 03 more friends so we become total 08 persons and managing the decend from babusar with 08 persons was really memorable .The installed Altitude meter in the van can only read upto 4000 meters but the babusar top is around 4200 meters (so our altitude meter stops working but we carried on), Rest the pictures will tell the story. my special thanks to rebel, ali qadri for their valueable input and also my GPS device have helped us alot .

details of our trip as follows:-

No of persons = 05
distance Travelled =1342 Kms
No of days = 05
Maximum altitude atained = 4230 meters

Day 1:-
Left islamabad on Saturday (24/09/11)
Reched Naran at 3.30 Pm
Night stay at naran

1. Ahead Lulusar, just before Giitdas... a big water crossing... Did you find any problem there???

2. What was the period of your visit? I mean dates/month??

3. What about your experience with the Nokia Phone GPS device and maps???
