Salam fellow pakwheelers . I bought Axio fielder 2 days back . It was giving an average of 6km/l . I did general tuning and now it has increased to 8km/l which still is not good enough. I need guidance what should i do next to improve mileage . Thanks
What do you mean by general tuning and is your car is FWD or AWD?
Brother its FWD. By general tuning i mean spark plugs, injectors, cat converter, fuel pump , oxygen sensor etc

No sir . Mechanic didnt replaced anything as according to him plugs were in good condition. He just cleaned them . He also cleaned O2 sensor
Get it scanned. Something has done before which owner didn't told you.
I have already scanned it . There were no errors. One thing i have noticed is when i start the car there is a strong smell of petrol . I havent changed tranmission oil yet . Can it be a culprit ?
Have you checked the fuel trims? There can be leakage. Or due to bad Fpr injectors would be dumping fuel. Apart from that always change the lubes and filters if newly bought used car.
Sir what do you mean by trims ? I have already engine oil, oil filter and air filter only thing left is transmisson oil which i will be changing in a few days
Scanner will tell you trims. In easy words it tell about how ecu is dealing with fuel for the combustion.

heavy smell of fuel at start is sign of bad CHARCOAL canister. Please check the pressure at fuel rail and the purge valve in fuel pump inside the tank.
Brother i went to another mechanic and he did general tuning again . He found out that the injectors were not working properly and plugs were also not gapped properly . He gapped the plugs to (90) guage ( according to him ) and now i am getting 12.3 km/l in city .
