Baleno 1.3 efi engine swap or block change?

Aoa,
Probably a noob question so apologies in advance.

I have baleno JXR 2004 1.3 efi.
Now recently I had engine heating issue. I went to Mechanic in G11, Islamabad. As per ustaad g the block of engine is rotten(gal-sar gaya ha) because heating issue was building up but it finally came on surface after it had already done the damage to block. For temporary jugar head gasket was changed and magic depoxi was used to seal the block and rotten places, and ustaad asked not to use AC.

Ustaad said without AC you can drive it for next 6 months max and either change the block (estimated costs around 60k to 75k) or swap the engine with kabli baleno engine (estimated costs around 160k to 180k).
Please note current engine has completed 380000 kms.

Please advise to change the block or go for swap. And also which markets are advised for either of options. My radius is rwp to peshawar.

Looking forward to gurus advise.

Replace engine. But the question is how to ensure that the replacement engine is not as rotten/bad as the one you are replacing. What is the oil pressure? Was it being run on 20W50 engine oil? etc. etc. BTW 90% reason for what has happened to your existing engine block is caused by wrong coolant or using only plain water.

Yes I bought the car in 2021 and using only water since then.

Yes those are the points to keep in mind. Usually the guy who sells you an engine may give a 6 month warranty. As you know engine troubles my came after 6m. On a used engine there is really nothing one can ascertain from the outside.

This much damage cannot happen from using water for three years. More like ten years of water use.

Let @dani_kk have a look. It cant hurt. Show him pictures of the block if you have any. Maybe he can salvage the existing block. Having said that we cannot overlook the 380,000Km on the engine. This much milage for this or any engine is pretty much the end of its life. That is why I suggested to get another engine. Certainly you will not find one with 50,000 km on it but maybe around 100,000km is a possibility.

Yes spot on 380k kms are the factor too. I will try to visit @dani_kk in coming week. To reach the final decision but I have almost made up a mind to get it replaced.
