I have bought Baleno last month the problem i am facing is engine is burning oil and there is leakage from chamber too. its reducing oil 300ml/week roughly. did a compression test and the result was 160 from 1st 125 from Second 150 from third there was oil in there and 135 from forth.
can you please guide either i should go for engine overhaul, assembly change or swap
and any good mechanic who can do this job in twin cities

i guess u r talking abt previous models of alto and cultus....just to make clear...

alto is 1000cc carb engine...lacking fuel efficiency of EFI, convenience of power sterring, windows, mirrors etc. although it meets requirements of some due to compact size...

EFI cultus is a good car, engine is g series EFI which is pretty robust and fuel efficient, VXL version have power steering and windows, suspension and AC performance is good, only lacking in boot space...however being newer it will cost more than baleno...

now come to baleno, its offcourse better option if found in good condition and not jugarified by road side mechs.

being old is no issue as many other suzuk cars are using same or similar parts...

Baleno is diggi wali gaari, with same tech engine as old efi cultus.

Its is a powerful car, 16 valve 1.3 engine is not bad at all.

It's AC is slightly better than cultus

Is there a separate circuit for mirror retract in JXL, where it is located? I've shown mirrors to electrician he checked the wiring and told me that there is no retract box in the car, he checked retract current at switch level and it was available. He couldn't find circuit in car, I told him that I will find it's location. He says retractable mirrors don't work without that controller. Anyone knows about that controller? A member of Whatsapp group has simply installed a switch and installed 2 missing wires on both sides near mirrors below dashboard and it worked but he jas JXL which came with factory fitted power mirrors. Mine is JXR but wiring and grips are already there in dashboard and doors, so I doubt that controller must be there already, but where?
Difference between JXL and JXR mirrors wiring

1. JXL has grips at different points a. Grip behind main switch b. Grip near fuse box below dashboard near right door c. Grip near left door below dashboard

2. JXR has no grip, the wires coming from main switch is routed directly to both mirrors below dashboard through doors rubber pipes

i am using baleno 2000 model 1.3 genuinely in black color. it is very comfortable and reliable car for family use in low budget. All it requires is a sensible mechanic who can understand its fully electronic systems.

There's a shop in Rwp by the name of RPM factory. They can probably make a set of custom dials for you.
