Baleno light modifications

Dear Experts,

I now have a baleno 2005 (prev. car 06 A/T Coure). Anyway, the car has done 40K Kms. I have been thinking about light performance upgrades - which dont strain my budget yet give me better performance and perhaps a nice sound as well. Would appreciate your views. Please note I am not into getting myself noticed with a huge exhaust and exterior modifications etc. I want simple and subtle performance upgrades and perhaps a nice sound - thats all.

just upgrade your intake system by fitting an intake pipe and cone filter. you'll get some performance and sound only when you put your foot down, otherwise you'll just enjoy quiet & comfortable driving (and not attract the attention of the police also)

hey bro,ive got a tiny prb,i got an exaust wit a 5inch mouth,n da prb is its v loud on low rpms n a bit low loud on high rpms,tere is a valve for tone adjucment but i neva tryed tat,wt can b done 2make da sound only on high rpms??

get blk cover for da front lights,they wud look cool if u car is of dark colour,they r removable covers,can b found in the market,tat wodnt add any performance but wud add good looks,if u want performance then get an intake as storm said,n also get headers installed

Baleno is a very rough car what can u gain to pay more expence on expoil car like Baleno.If u want 2 make change then make modification on Lancer or New Honda 2007.or contact me on 03465080343

Storm: Thanks for the tip. What if I was also to change the spark plugs? What would be the impact on fuel consumption? Perhaps you can also suggest the best ones to go for?

without seeing your system i woudln't be able to comment. but generally speaking the one with adjustable valves ususally adjust back pressure so if that is the case it'll defeat the purpose of fitting a backbox since it'll bring the backpressure about to stock setup to keep the noise down.

anytime buddy. Unless your plugs are old and need replacement i woudln't bother changing them, you're better off getting them cleaned and havign the plug gaps checked. So called performance plugs do NOTHING without upgraded wires and spark amplification (like MSD, etc.)

Get rid of the 5 inch tip that is one of the things amplifying the noise levels. Use a similar diameter tip as that of the exhaust or muffler end. And noise is amplified even when you have a bigger then needed exhaust. Meaning stock pipe is 1.75 inches and you used 3" all the way. You have lost low end power and amplified the noise, use a 2.25" pipe not more then that unless you have Turbo equipped car. So 2 things the tip smaller and smaller diametre pipes.
