Today I took my baleno for engine tuning & oil change at Suzuki Township. Used Zic A oil for the first time(have been using Shell previously). After the tuning there was alot of improvement in the pick etc. but when I reached kalma chowk I noticed that temperature guage was going up bear the H letter.
I immediately stopped the car and waited for 10 mins for the engine to cool down. After 10 mins I opened the bonnet. Sprayed water from a pipe on the radiator from a pipe for around 5 mins. Then I turned the car 'ON'(not start). I noticed that the fan wasnt working. I looked around and found that the mechanics @ suzuki township hadnt plugged the fan wire(near the distributor) after finishing the tuning. I plugged the wire and the fan started working. Then again sprayed water on the radiator for around 1 min.
Then I started the car and temperature was now normal. After a few mins I decided to check the fan again. When I opened the bonnet I saw that it wasnt working. Tried plugging the wire again(by taking in out and then plugging again....did it several times) but no luck. At first I thought that maybe sprayed water had lowered the temperature and thus due to thermostat the fan isnt working but even after waiting for 10 mins then fan wasnt working. Eventually a driver disconnected the thermostat wire and made the fan 'direct' which means that the fan works continously no matter what the temperature. Now the fan works but the temperature guage doesnt and check engine light appears continously. Can anyone guide me what to do ? I do not want to spend too much money on all this electric stuff. Baleno is already driving me crazy with all sort of problems especially idle rpm etc etc.
