Bank not giving me clearance

Hi All,

I have paid off all the remaining dues of my car before maturity of loan and applied for "Early Loan Settlement" from S C bank.

They told me that I will get all my ownership documents and NOC within 15 days but two months have passed and they are giving me various excuses (like new staff or office moved to another location etc). Some one told me that they might have lost/misplaced my car ownership file.

What should I do and where should I go? How long it takes to get your all documents after full payment.

brother, make sure that you launch your complaint to the karachi office and then see what happens with this bank.

I been a victim of some other problem with a bank that claims world class banking but as i always said the stupid and time waster employees are the same PAKISTANIS and not foreigners.....anyway.

ahk01, if you dont mind me asking, what was the penalty they charged you for early settlement (since my car is also financed by SC)...Secondly this scares me too, since i will be in the same scenario after my finance term ends in about 3 years.

I got my documents after an early settlement the same day i made the payment. It was Bank Al Falah. I required the docs because I had sold my car so had to pass them on to him. You really do need to file a complaint with the banking mohtasib, so that they may intervene and ask the bank to issue you a letter of misplaced docs along with the clearance certificate so that you are able to obtain duplicate documents from the relevant authorities.

Well What really scary part is if the File is Missing,In that case you will be in some real unwanted trouble as the vehicle may have trouble with resale!! this is ridiculous though for a Bank like SC!!I say launch a complain and give them a tough time ask for a Compansasion its obvious you wont get any though,but nothing wrong trying it !! After all its your Hard Earned Money!!

you are dealing with the worst bank in the universe. SC is the most pathetic bank you want a work done in an hr they will say it will take a month cause they will send a letter to karachi and then your branch doesnt deal with the stuff rather u have to go to a branch in another part of the city where you go and they tell you to get another paper you dont have ..... this story continues and continues
